Job Simulator - "JobBot" - LEGO Recreation

If you have been paying a lot of attention with upcoming VR Gaming (or, more specifically, the HTC Vive), you may have heard of a game called 'Job Simulator - The 2050 Archives' where the player is presented to... ...well... ...jobs, as emulated in a future where Robots do all the work. If you'd like to see the game yourself, you can search for trailers, gameplay or screenshots on YouTube or a Search engine. Anyway, I like the art style of the game, specifically the design of the robot that seems to always be in the room with you (judging by the 'nametag' in some promotional art, I'm assuming it's called "JobBot"), and I wanted to recreate the character in LEGO. So after several attempts at constructing the character (both in LDD and in physical LEGO), I have finally finished him, or at least it is the best I could've done. Introducing the 'JobBot'; ...or, at least what he'd look like with specifically designed stickers or decals. Here is what he actually looks like; ...Meh. But it's still a great relief to have finally got it looking somewhat decent. Here is the .lxf file for anyone who wants it; http://oresome.rockraidersunited.com/download/323 I was originally going to post these as pictures in the Member's Gallery, but I never really used the 'LEGO Creations' Fourm category, so there, my first proper Digital LEGO Creation to be released publicly. If I design a room or setting based on the game in the future, I might post that with this MOC onto LEGO Ideas to be made into a set. If I do, I'll announce it when it's up. Thank you for taking your time to read this. --Ben24x7--

Alpha Team puzzle editor, and ~niblik?

Two things here, not sure if they're related. Alpha Team's designer (that awesome Tom Mott fella) showed up on Eurobricks recently and, among other things, said this: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=85196#entry2457898 I've tried it and a thousand variations and have yet to get anything to happen. I'd say exactly what I've tried, but without any hint as to what it should do, who knows what might be relevant. I think it'd best if people messed around with it themselves. If you want to investigate the game up close, be aware that most of Alpha Team's logic is made up of DLLs, both sitting in the same folder as the EXE, and inside the Bhvr.pac file. The EXE contains relatively little. Bhvr\PE0300.DLL especially might be of note? Also while poking around I noticed UI stuff that seems to show there is/was an in-game puzzle editor. From Etc\UILAYOUT.TXT: //**************** Puzzle Editor Buttons ***************** ToggleButton LockButton 0.95 0.7583 0.05 0.066667 { State UnLocked { Neutral "Unlocked.tga"; } State Locked { Neutral "Locked.tga"; } } ToggleButton ModeButton 0.0001 0.7583 0.05 0.066667 { State GameMode { Neutral "GameMode.tga"; } State PEMode { Neutral "PEMode.tga"; } } Button TBLeftArrow 0.070313 0.091667 0.05 0.066667 { Neutral "ToolboxArrow.tga"; MouseOver "ToolboxArrow_roll.tga" Sound ButtonOverSound; Depressed "ToolboxArrow_selected.tga" Sound ButtonDownSound; Faded 0.333; } Button TBRightArrow 0.882813 0.091667 0.05 0.066667 { Neutral "ToolboxArrow.tga"; MouseOver "ToolboxArrow_roll.tga" Sound ButtonOverSound; Depressed "ToolboxArrow_selected.tga" Sound ButtonDownSound; Rotation( 180.0 ); Faded 0.333; } NoClickButton TBoxBGBut 0.121875 0.010417 0.760938 0.145833 { Color (0.0, 0.012, 0.549, 0.8); } Group TBArrows { Draw TBLeftArrow; Draw TBRightArrow; } The images for the buttons are still present too. I haven't looked into it much, but perhaps there's a way to enable it?

    legorr.exe has stopped working :(

As a fun fact, Exception 0x94 is a divide-by-zero error. Doesn't actually help us here, but it does explain why the game is going nuclear. The faulting module is LegoRR.exe, not a graphics driver, HOWEVER, there are some known problems with AMD and this game. Interestingly enough, I don't think I've yet seen somebody with both an AMD CPU and AMD GPU. That makes you quite a special case. When you start you game, do you get a window that asks if you want Direct3D HAL or RGB Emulation? If so, could you try running the game with RGB Emulation instead of Direct3D HAL? It will likely lag a lot, but I just want to see if that solves the crashing problem. If it does or doesn't we'll figure out something to make it run better.

    legorr.exe has stopped working :(

Run the game until it crashes again. Open your Event Viewer (for Windows 10 right click the start button and press Event Viewer, otherwise just search for it), and in the side pane go to Windows Logs > Application. You should see an Error - Application Error and above it an Information - Windows Error Reporting. For both, make sure they say "LegoRR.exe" somewhere inside the General box, and then copy/paste the contents here. Futhermore, if you could tell us what your hardware is (CPU, GPU, RAM etc), that would also help.

How did you guess!? I've only got a few (just 2, unless you want to count all the 6? 5? versions of that one house you can click on to change it) buildings left to build from LEGO Island. But I think I'm going to wait till later to build those, and start working on the actual island now.

    Editing OPTIONS.SAV for longer matches

Want longer matches? Well you've come to the right place! First off, locate your OPTIONS.SAV file, for me it is under C:\Users\Xiron\AppData\Roaming\LEGO Media\Soccer Mania\Dev0\ Open up the file in a hex editor, and look for the bytes "XX 3F", XX will be 00, 01, or 02 depending on what match length you saved it as. The bytes should be at offsets 55-56 in the file. The byte you want to change is the first byte, the one that ISN'T 3F. By default, 00 is a 4 minute match, 2 minute per period. For every number increase, a whole minute gets added to the period. So 00 is 2 minute periods (4 minute match), 01 is 3 minute (6 mins), 02 is 4 minutes (8 min), 03 is 5 minutes (10 mins), 04 is 6 minutes (12 mins), etc. Don't freak out when you go in the game and look at the time in the options, it will use text from other settings.

    Classic LEGO videogame builds

Admittedly, I already built the Information Center, but that was before any of the significant updates came along, limiting what bricks I had available, so your version is superior; And before you do it, heres my past recreation of the Police Station; Still, nice work.
