Meanwhile, here's an update pic on the Info Center internal. That window in the door was a pain in the butt to do. Also, the more I work on this, the more inconsistencies I find, oh well, I'm alright with making-do. I haven't really given 3D animation much of a try yet myself, but is has been something I've considered trying several times in the past.

The airplane was just too fun, so I made another video. This is something I'd like to see more of, expanding on the already existing basic ideas. I found it interesting that you could still see the planes from the elevator. With seeing that, I was a little disappointed they weren't there when I went outside the Info Center.

It's normally the "pizza" song that plays in the region, the ambient sound is pizzeria exclusive, cutscene or not.

That's awesome. If we go the 3D route, maybe the interiors should be "interactable" like the rest of the island instead of point and click, so you can walk around inside them. I figured out the issue with the stoplights. So basically, all of the objects extracted from the game had their faces/normals reversed. For the sake of saving lots of time, I have a script on each object that flips the faces at runtime. I tried searching around for an automated way of flipping all the object faces in blender/meshlab but I couldn't find one. Anyway, the traffic light seems to be the only object where only some faces are flipped. The lights themselves are normal but the rest of the object is reversed, so when the faces flip at runtime, the lights are inside-out. This is what it looks like without the faces flipped: You can see how the pole mesh is inverted but the lights are normal. I could probably get around this by opening up the object in meshlab and reversing all the normals manually.

Ok I had to brush up a little on my paper airplane physics but I think it came out really nice! I'm gonna upload v0.7 in a few minutes.

    [MOC] B-25 Mitchell

Hello everyone, Well it's been over a year since I last posted here however I've finally finished my B-25 I've been working on for just over a year and a half. It's had several major rebuilds of certain sections since the WIP topic I posted but It's finally at a point where I can call it finished and start on something else. Some basic info first, It's wingspan is roughly 3ft (around 92cm), Fuselage length is about 2ft 6in (around 76cm), It has a XL motor for each engine. so that makes two, It has two M motors powering the landing gear and it also has working flaps, ailerons, rudders and elevators (All controlled though the control column and gear wheel in the cockpit.). The top turret can rotate 360 degrees as well. As you may notice in the pictures below I ended up not being able to fit the battery box into the actual model as there just wasn't enough room for it, As it turned out though it came in handy as one of the annoying flaws with this model is it won't actually sit on it's landing gear, It just falls backwards so the battery box was just the right hight to prop it up. I spent a long time thinking about the problem but couldn't come up with a solution for this particular model so it's just something I'll have to keep in mind for future aircraft with tricycle landing gear. Anyway, on with the pictures. More pictures can be found on brickshelf here: (once it's public) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=563243 And on google photos here: https://goo.gl/photos/JHBLxofc9MjLfL9X8 Finally a video of it: Hope you all like it and thanks for reading/looking.

I'm not using any color correction, but I am using contrast enhancement I might make it possible to spawn tiny versions of the available buildings. Better yet, I might use Wognif's models so it looks like little lego sets! I fixed the issue with the console for v0.8. I'm currently looking into the shadow issue, but the texture has the same property as the road texture so I'm not sure what the issue is. Fixing that now for v0.8. I think I'm going to rename all the objects to something easier to use. Right now the names are the same as when they were originally extracted from the game, but some are weird (like "firetruK").

It would definitely be easy and possible, but then I feel like it would get annoying where you'd be respawned back to the infocenter if you tried to walk on the water.

But what if I jump off the hillside? Oh by the way, any news on getting a respawn boundary for water like I requested way earlier? It does, as does the info center music with the bike, police theme with the motorcycle, and the gas station theme with the buggy (until you enter a new zone of course).

Fact, the song is actually called Beach Boulevard in the files. Makes sense since it plays along that whole street along the beach.

I figured that looked more like a flipped normal then a transparency issue, I could tell just by looking at it. (modeler's eye ) Well, I don't know how to flip normals in MeshLab, but I do in Blender (didn't even know you were using that ). Ben24x7 isn't much of a file reverse guy (at least not that I've seen), so I doubt he has an answer. He already replied to this. I can do basics of file examining, but if the file is packed away in an archive I couldn't tell ya.

As far as I know, they were scenery objects used only in certain situations, like an obstacle in the tow truck missions and in an animation where a traffic light changes into a tree.

Watch me livestream it then. Yeah, I know what you're getting at, being there firsthand is always better. It'd actually be cool if we could have a slight bit of control over the airplane.

It will! But you have to click the little airplane icon since I currently don't think I have the black lever object file. Unfortunately, I haven't added the sky color/radio/etc functionality yet, but that's on my todo list.

While we wait for Hamhock's ripper update, I can try and get to you Wognif's LDD recreation of the buildings. They'll probably be of higher quality anyhow, so I don't know if you'll want to stick with them over the originals in the long run. (btw @Wognif the images in that topic are broke)

I'm not really much of a modeler (and can't really help much currently other than in the way of beta testing), but since I conveniently built the missing bridge in LDD a while back, and somehow managed to get the LDD Model Converter long before bartvbl deleted it, I managed to make a replacement for the original bridge of the racetrack since not even I can find that model in the extracted files. I cleaned up a lot of unneeded polygons to it and made sure it was as low poly as I possibly could. (Might still be higher poly than the original though.) Some adjustments may be needed to it, since I didn't do a test fitting. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/81446350/rctrackbridge.zip
