    Someone Rigged My Flight!

    *Bump* Wait, that flight wasn't rigged... ...just poorly constructed. Maybe the vessel doesn't have good stability... or maybe the engines are at an angle? ...or maybe, just maybe, the Pilot was utterly stupid... So I strapped more Boosters onto it and it flew fine;

  3. I'm on a computer so here's the VOTING THING! In the following spoiler there will be a list of all the entries to the contest, each with their own individual number. If you want to vote for an entry, say number 26, you would have to leave a reply to this topic with the number of the entry you want to vote for in bold (so, it would be 26). One vote per person, and only one entry per person (obvious). Don't vote for yourself (even more obvious). If there's a tie, then I'll just declare the winner as a tie (there's no prizes, so no need for that tie-breaker malarkey). Voting closes in a weeks time at mid-day GMT on Tuesday 27th December 2016. After this I'll count the votes and officially announce the winner by the 28th December. Hopefully. Maybe. Time for the SPOILER OF ENTRIES! TIME TO VOTE LADDOS

    From the album: This is how you create a gallery, right?

    The white hair piece is of course authentic. A couple of German stores sell them.

    LEGO Island .wdb Extractor

    I wish that were the case. They are "gif" files, but they are simpler than the gif spec on wikipedia . If you just extract the raw bytes and try to save them as a gif file, it does not work. There is a palette of up to 256 colors and each pixel is a byte that references one of those colors. I convert them to PNG because that is a standard lossless format for images. Saving them as gif files would probably also be less compatible with new software. How often do model makers use GIFs as textures these days? This is the LI format for GIFs: I am also questioning where the other facial expressions are stored. I will take another look at the files and see if I can spot anything, but as of now I have not been able to find them.

    LEGO Island .wdb Extractor

    Speaking of using faces in the gifs folder. Why do you convert them to png? I'd assume they are actually gifs with multiple frames.

    LEGO Island .wdb Extractor

    Someone sent me a PM today asking if I had gotten the models for the minifigs. These models have now been extracted, although the wdb ripper is not updated to reflect it. I wanted to get this implemented into the extractor, but I honestly haven't had time. Instead, I found a messy way to get the models out, so I have them for anyone that wants them. Although most people already have minifig models, these are the original ones. Make sure to read the README file. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ygssmf0lwwrey2c/extra_li_models.zip?dl=0
