REVIEW: LEGO SCALA 3132 Emma
aidenpons and 6 others reacted to Quisoves Potoo for a topic
So yeah, for some reason I had the idea to make that photo into a cheesy 70's movie-poster. It didn't quite come out that way, but what the heck. I've already spent an inordinate amount of time on the thing. Outtakes.7 points -

So you're telling me... I'm getting this payment because I'm gullible, and haven't yet received compensation for this? This is due to Legal law protecting all donation funds misappropriation. I'll show up and ask you about this in person. Good luck and kind regards, Mr. Ban Ki-Moon Secretary-General of the United Nations. His title is actually General Ban Ki-Moon. Not Mr. He really should proof-read what his secretary writes. Pending time, I shall poke at this and see if I can provoke shenanigans.1 point -
Upscaling Rock Raiders Textures
Lind Whisperer reacted to elrunethe2nd for a topic
Rock Raiders textures are very small. I've found using the new intelligent upscaling software "Waifu2X" has decent results on the original textures. It uses neural networks to discern and upscale data and not noise. It's not always the best, but in my opinion 95% of the time it manages to draw water from stone. Obviously it's designed for pictures of your waifu, but works for this too. Works on holiday snaps too. You can use it here: http://waifu2x.udp.jp/ There is a bulk converter with a GUI here: https://github.com/lltcggie/waifu2x-caffe/releases Examples below. ORIGINALS: UPSCALED:1 point -

It's a pretty good tool, I've used it a lot while working with textures and I know several other members here have as well. Here's some tips I posted in another topic and am too lazy to retype:1 point -

Darkian's Introduction
le717 reacted to DarkianMaker for a topic
Hi there people of RRU, after years of lurking about only looking for fixes and tutorials on how to get old Lego games running I have decided to join RRU which is mostly because I wanted to get involved in the Lego Island Redux thread of @bphillips09. I'm 22, from the Netherlands and my friends call me Duke or Darkian. Lego and its games have been quite a part of my life and gave me the freedom for creativity which made me the guy I am today. I program a lot, I write a lot, I draw a lot and I design a lot with a smile on my face (mostly) and spend much of my time on creative hobbies and projects. Be sure to poke me if you need help with programming (I'm not a guru but I can help) or just want to have a good chat ^_^1 point -

This topic has been dead for almost a year - how about I revive it? My sigfig. Since there isn't a generic helmet piece aside from the diver, I wore the fisherman's cap. Unfortunately, I can't give myself a hook hand or epaulets either. I also made a classic pirate skin. Wouldn't you love to see what I had to re-texture? Anyway, I found a new use for my decal remakes!1 point
