    Old Time Cruisers Models

Built these sometime in 2010, maybe early 2011 at latest... I wanna say early-mid 2010 though. Holy s*** these are around seven years old, kids born when I was working on the game project I intended them for would be old enough to play it now. LXFs are on an old laptop I don't have a way of booting at the moment, but I found screenshots I'd sent to people via Skype back then. They were sent as I was working on them so there's some alternate versions of stuff here and there. Main ideas were to keep the vehicles recognizable as the ones from the sets, but incorporate modular time machine devices, and give them more of my own style. Being LDD, things like the decals on the hypno discs are missing. There's a lot I'd do differently now but some of the ideas for the train/truck have stuck around, albeit mutated. GOTTA (LE)GO FAST

Whilst looking about the internet for things, I came across this rather daft-looking mod for Sonic Generations that got the Sonic character models from LEGO Dimensions and slapped 'em in Generations. So I downloaded it, booted up the game and my sides were immediately sent into literal orbit. (got a lotta screenshots to post, so I'mma put 'em all in spoiler tags for your viewing pleasure) lego sonic as you truly imagined it

    Widescreen Hack + High Resolution

I struck gold in the youtube comments section. For years I've been looking for a "Beginner's Guide to Widescreen Hacking" and I finally found it. Youtube user AuToMaNiAk005 wrote a very nice explanation on how he hacks games. You should read the whole thing, paste it into a text file and keep it forever. I've tried hacking a few games with this information, but the only success I've had so far was with Lego Island 2. Like most widescreen hacks, it's not perfect. Some objects will disappear on the edges and the HUD is stretched. And sometimes you'll find weird stuff, like a Brickster-Bot that has been creeping in the main menu the entire time. This also solves another problem I've had: Every time I start the game it runs at 640 x 480. The game seems to always start with the lowest supported resolution. But if you replace every possible resolution with just the one you want, it will start up with that one instead. If anyone is interested, here are the offsets that I found: Both English Versions: - 640 at 0x529D, 480 at 0x52A4 - 800 at 0x52B2, 600 at 0x52B9 - 1024 at 0x52C7, 768 at 0x52CE - 1280 at 0x52DC, 1024 at 0x52E3 - FOV at 0xA495 Note that matching width and height values are 7 bytes apart. Two pairs of resolutions are 21 bytes apart (the difference between 640 location and the 800 location) Spanish Version: - 640 at 0x52FD, 480 at 0x5304 - (I didn't write down the rest. See the note above.) - FOV at 0xA765 I've updated the LI2 Mod Manager tool with a built-in custom resolution setting. (And built-in load time fix, and no intro videos hack.) So far it works with both English versions and a Spanish version. If it does not work for you, send me a message and I'll look into it. I want to make it compatible with every version.

    Canceled Mega Bloks Halo Game

I tried booting up Hype again and I got a few game freezes at a few specific points just past where my save is at in the story, which is odd as I didn't have such problems anywhere else in the game (even in earlier versions of this area) and the save file has like 10.5 hours of gameplay (which doesn't even count all the gameplay between save points and deaths). I'd kinda lost track of where I was in the story too, maybe I'll get the PS2 version sometime and start fresh... I could probably keep trying on PC until I get past this segment without any freezing, but meh. The joys of old PC games, eh? Edit - got through it! Of course the one time I took extra precautions to save throughout the area I didn't encounter any freezes, lol. Edit again - Beat the game! It... uh. It was fun though.

    Canceled Mega Bloks Halo Game

The topic of not-quite-LEGO games reminds me... There's a 1999 Playmobil PC game (sort of an RPG-adventure thing) that's really good IMO. Also helps that Playmobil is just a competitor to LEGO (and even then only somewhat; they're just a toy with some crossover in who they appeal to), not a clone brand or even a building toy - so even hardcore lego fans can play it guilt free. I've played through the majority of the game and I enjoyed it, been meaning to go back and finish. The writing and voice acting and world is all really well done (especially for 1999) and there's a lot of charm to it. It's also surprisingly dark in tone at points; it doesn't shy away from mentions of death and stuff, feels akin to the 80s LEGO Pirates audio dramas in that regard. The coolest part about the game though are the time travel mechanics and how damn well they work with the story and world. You play a knight who's sent back in time 200 years by a villain, and your goal is to return to your own time and defeat the villain who sent you back. And while the game is technically linear, the trip you take through time and the world is by all means not - you can use sundials to switch between eras at pretty much any time (once you've played enough to visit more than one). Kings rise and fall, you see first hand the effects they're having/had on the kingdom, characters age, die, their children grow up, the world evolves interestingly and sometimes dramatically, and it all makes it surprisingly rich for a "kids game". There's a lot of other little things I really liked about it but I won't go on. If there's one thing that stands out as a flaw it's that the control scheme feels dated, but I wouldn't say it's outright bad or hard to control, just takes getting used to. Itsa good game. Play it. ... Oh! And a PS2 version was released 3 years later, in 2002. From what I've heard there's some differences between the versions though I'm not sure how much. One last thing: The game's manual is available here, and it's actually got some cool story-related stuff in it. There's also this. I'm not sure I can recommend that one.

    HTML5 Rock Raiders Remake

Sorry to double post in such short succession, but the cause of the bug I was experiencing suddenly occurred to me while I was working today, so I was able to quickly identify and fix it. I'm happy to say that this marks the release of the building construction update! Buildings can now be selected from the building menu dropdown on the top-left section of the UI, and then moved and rotated with the mouse and the 'R' key respectively. To cancel building placement, simply right-click. The building placer functions identically to that of the original game, albeit ignoring height differences in adjacent terrain for now as I have no clue what the original formula for that was. Currently only 2 buildings can be constructed in this manner, but that will change as more buildings are added to the game. The release of this update means a few new issues must be ironed out, namely choosing the nearest building of a respective type when completing tasks (let's not have raiders walk all the way home to put away resources when there is another tool store 10 feet from them).

    Drawings + Requests

Xiron's Request(ish), "RR Chief vs. Lord Brevon"; I was attempting to draw Lord Brevon, but with a lack of a side-on image I couldn't visualise him in 3D, so I threw in the towel. Drill Master's Request, (Summerised) "Support Ststion Sandwich Line"; Because Paper doesn't allow Canvas resizing, I had to draw everything in the picture small which completly dropped the quality. Other than that, Enjoy!
