  2. This time around we're landing in Avant Gardens and starting the main questline. AG is a much more complex world than VE, and it shows what's implemented and what isn't. As you can see, most of the functionality is there and the game is basically playable at this point. Noticeably absent is movement AI. Movement AI is much more complex compared to the other features and we decided we won't make it release blocking to implement AI. Instead we'll focus on implementing the other features. Survival is implemented, though, without movement AI, isn't as challenging. Other than that it's working though.

    HTML5 Rock Raiders Remake

    I haven't really given an update on this project recently, as most of what needs to be done at the moment is adding content. With the last update to the gh-pages branch I fixed the error related to multiple building sites conflicting with each other, so you can now safely create as many simultaneous building sites as you want without having to fear those building sites getting stuck. I recently went through and added the rest of the building types to the main branch, and will be rolling out functionality for them as they become necessary for level objectives. I have also added score saving with HTML5 local storage, so your best score for each level will now be permanently saved, allowing you to save your progress (the scoring algorithm is just a placeholder until I figure out how scores were calculated in the original game, so if anyone can bring me up to speed on that it would be a big help!) My hope is to gradually add content to the game while converting the level files in order, so that the game is as complete as possible by the time the final level has been converted. Enjoy!

    The server side scripts for mech and turret seem to have survived in the client, however the mech respawn part doesn't seem to be part of them. Could also be a simple timing thing - there are still parts of the spawner networks in the luz files we don't understand, possibly there is a longer respawn timer set somewhere. The script for Survival seems to have survived too (surprisingly), so implementing enemy waves is technically possible, though without Movement AI it's lower on the priority list. The more problematic parts are the newer (free to play update) parts of AG, and Crux Prime, Nexus Tower and Ninjago, since it seems from some point on LEGO figured out that including the server scripts in the client wasn't that much of a good idea, and thus the scripts for these worlds are missing.

    Cool stuff. The timing of the mech/turret building, respawns, etc seems a bit funky (the original servers would respawn the mech only once the turret expired and broke apart) - but presumably that was originally controlled with a server-side script, which of course nobody has, right? Seems like the sort of thing that should be a server side script, anyway - I haven't checked the mechs/turrets specifically. Same goes for how AG survival would spawn harder variations of enemies as time went on.

    LEGO Racers HD (mod project, WIP)

    Since I was bored and had nothing else to do today, I decided to whip up an adjusted version of the flag myself in HD from scratch: It's really rough around the edges in multiple places (probably 'cos, y'know, I'm not exactly the greatest artist in the world), but the point here is that there's much more to HD-ing games than getting the original textures and smoothening out the edges. I appreciate that you're really into doing this thing, and that's fine - it's just that you've gotta do more than just smoothen the jaggies to make textures look good innit. Often the point of HD-izing a game is to redraw as many textures as possible whilst still remaining the aesthetic of the original, and that's something that waifu2x can't offer. tl;dr: creating new art in the same style > just removing the jaggies and such from the old ones through quick and easy means.

    Phantom Terror, can you just get a job at Bonkle Set Design already? I would love to buy that and if the Barnacle sets were of that high sheer awesomeness I would... probably faint to be honest. ... I can't overestimate how freaking amazing this looks and how lucky you are to have this on your shelf. I just have Toa Inika Hewkii standing on my PC tower

    noticed quite a few more during my crusade: nubby's face is missing aswell cdrom is faceless and sinks in the ground: now in the bad ending: the obvious non-lego car behind the brickster is missing a lot of tris: the bridge support clips through the hill and finally, pepper has square hands can go through bricks with his skateboard:
