    LEGO Island 2 Beta Video

"I've got good news, and I've got better news! Which would you like to hear first?" Like Terrev mentioned, I've had this LEGO Island 2 rolling demo CD for years. I also haven't seen it in that same number of years. But lo and behold, when I went looking for it this morning, I somehow found it in the very first place I looked! Because it's apparently so rare that there's no documentation of it on the internet, I decided to take plenty of pictures and screenshots for posterity's sake. Therefore, this post will be image-heavy, but I'll spare people scrolling through this topic by stuffing the images into spoiler tags. Photographs of the CD and the sleeve it came in: Screenshots of the menus: The "Intro Movie" trailer is the same thing we've seen before: the intro movie with "Make-A-D-Pizza" and "LEGO Island" music instead of what is heard in the final product. And now, for what you were waiting for: the reuploaded "Game-play Footage" trailer! A few more interesting tidbits: The video files have December 15, 2000 (Intro Movie) and December 20, 2000 (Game-play Footage) as the "Date modified". The folders and DXR files on the CD have January 15, 2001 as the "Date modified". This is the latest date that appears in any of the CD's files.

[Tool] Extract Mesh from *_nxg.ghg and *_nxg.gsc

I think it is time to create a topic for my ExtractNxgMESH tool. There were a few request for an update the last days and here it is. I was not able to assign it to one of the older posts directly. http://www.rockraidersunited.com/files/dl-r112/ Just extract the archive and drag the file you want to extract on the exe file. You can also use a console. You will get a lot of obj and mtl files. Hope it works. I know there is an issue with the normals in some files.

    Darren's last name

Been meaning to post this for a while... The four developer characters in LI2 have the first names of their real life counterparts but different last names (given in the Information Center): Rich Hancock -> Rich Pickings Rob Carter -> Rob Banks Steve Hughes -> Steve Hen Darren Drabwell's character, however, was just called Darren. Buuut, if you look at the cutscene file lgici01.txt (for when you give him his pizza)... [HEADER] CSMSCRIPTVERSION 0 SCRIPTENAME PepperMeetsDarrenEana There ya go. (And yeah, the cutscene files for meeting the other 3 developer characters have the same last names as given in the Information Center.)

I can't believe the LMBs are freaking dead

Since the LMBs are properly being taken offline today, I'mma just cross-post my very last post on there in this topic. It's a tad sugarcoated in places so the LMB mods would let it through, but it's still quite relevant I guess: Now, more than ever, (¯`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.-> ţh€я€ ɨ$ ɲ๏β๏ď¥ ℓ€ƒţ ţ๏ $ॠ¥๏µя ƒąɲƒɨȼ ɨ$ ǥ๏๏ď -.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸¸.·´¯)

LEGO Island 2 Beta on PS1 "discovered" (IMAGE HEAVY)

Oh those? I've extracted them already. Here's a link just in case you didn't see it in on Discord: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/483r4vgogards/LI2_PS1_VAG_Clips These are extracted clips from the VAG files in LI2 PS1. Originally, they had no headers, so I've added headers for each clip. Header might not be exactly how it should be, but it works. I've also uploaded pre-converted WAVs of each clip. Clip counts: (VAG: Beta, Retail) ADV: 236, 242 CAS: 359, 359 LGI: 798, 802 OGL: 94, 94

Garage Search = LEGO game I never knew I had

A fella who goes by Ldziat uploaded some stuff (though they apparently pasted the wrong link for the second one): http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/various-lego-demos-and-promotional-discs.53021/ Of note are a Galidor CD (not much on it though): http://www.mediafire.com/download/zzmmhzzonyd/Galidor.rar And this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/k5k0zan1argn14c/Lego_Software_Demo_CD_2000-1.rar No ID was given, but it's 592 MB (the similar "2000-1" discs we have are different sizes: DM1G-GEN5 from Brickulator is 593 MB, DM1G-GENMU5 from bartvbl is 595). Contains demos of Chess, Creator, Friends, Loco, and Racers. Videos are the Alpha Team intro, LCKK intro, LEGOLAND intro, extended Rock Raiders intro, and Stunt Rally intro. Also has some MyStyle demo stuff. Nothing too interesting, but hey, it's here.
