Hot air balloon in Dino Park

There's a hot air balloon in Dino Park after you beat Mr. Hates, that flies up and away the moment the cutscene with the Adventurers saying goodbye finishes. It moves pretty fast so you have to spin the camera around immediately to see it. I checked the game object list with the debug menu and it's hidden/disabled once it completes its path, so you can't even teleport to it and hang out up there when it stops moving. I suppose the balloon that appears on LEGO Island later in the game is intended to be the same one, like how the pterodactyl also follows you back. And of course the same balloon you fight Mr. Hates in. Bonus: You may have never noticed this as well; the natives start in their camp and then run out to the places where they dance. Usually this happens during the cutscene with the Adventurers so you wouldn't really see unless you skipped through it. One of them walks through the gate, lol.

Hot air balloon in Dino Park

Poking through an old hard drive, and apparently I recorded this back in 2012 and completely forgot I'd done so.......? I even converted it to a compressed format to upload it but never did I guess lol. The rest of the video is just screwing around in Dino Park.

    LEGO Island Torpedoes/Jetski music tabs

As far as I can find, no one else has ever writen tabs for any of these tracks (or anything from the game aside from bass tabs for the race track theme posted here years ago), so I decided to give it a shot. I started off with "Torpedoe", the song that plays when you build the Jetski, because after uploading an edit of it trying to recreate the faster loop you hear in-game in better quality it was on my mind for a while, and it's by far the easiest to figure out and play, and the least reverb-heavy. Maybe I'll try to figure the others out if I can tell through said reverb. I'm by no means really any good at guitar at all, and I'm not using an electric like they were, but hopefully I managed this okay enough that it's not too inaccurate, maybe someone who's way better than me could see if this sounds right. bass was pretty hard to hear but it seems to just be the bottom two guitar strings with some missing notes (I'm 99% sure it's not just an echo because of that and because I can hear the same fuzzy sound on parts of Interplanetary where the guitar's reverb is turned down, playing something different entirely). Also sorry if the formatting is kinda crap I'm not sure how to write this sort of stuff properly, and like I said I doubt it's perfectly accurate, but it's a start hopefully.

    LEGO Island 2 Beta Video

"I've got good news, and I've got better news! Which would you like to hear first?" Like Terrev mentioned, I've had this LEGO Island 2 rolling demo CD for years. I also haven't seen it in that same number of years. But lo and behold, when I went looking for it this morning, I somehow found it in the very first place I looked! Because it's apparently so rare that there's no documentation of it on the internet, I decided to take plenty of pictures and screenshots for posterity's sake. Therefore, this post will be image-heavy, but I'll spare people scrolling through this topic by stuffing the images into spoiler tags. Photographs of the CD and the sleeve it came in: Screenshots of the menus: The "Intro Movie" trailer is the same thing we've seen before: the intro movie with "Make-A-D-Pizza" and "LEGO Island" music instead of what is heard in the final product. And now, for what you were waiting for: the reuploaded "Game-play Footage" trailer! A few more interesting tidbits: The video files have December 15, 2000 (Intro Movie) and December 20, 2000 (Game-play Footage) as the "Date modified". The folders and DXR files on the CD have January 15, 2001 as the "Date modified". This is the latest date that appears in any of the CD's files.

    LEGO Island Torpedoes/Jetski music tabs

Just a quick tip on transcribing stuff, other than slowing down to half speed, I find that raising whatever you want to transcribe by one or two octaves helps hearing the lower frequencies (like basses). You can always use an equalizer to push the desired frequencies out.

    LEGO Island Size Comparison

Thought I'd piggyback on this topic with a comparison of the island to LEGO City from LEGO City Undercover. The comparison image is bit ugly, with LEGO City Undercover's low-detail model not 100% complete when it appears in-game, but you can still get a good sense of the scale differences of the LEGO Island island, Island Xtreme Stunts island, and LEGO City Undercover LEGO City map.

    LEGO Island Size Comparison

No doubt. Imagine how amazing IXS would have felt as a child if the space was used like it was in LI2 GBA. Silicon Dreams seems to have had a problem with that. I remember looking at the LI2 map from the Information Center and thinking about how there just wasn't anything there.
