    Cheats in single race mode?

I've noticed that LR's cheats on my machines are really fussy.... you have to create them anew each time. Let me illustrate: Here's what will work: - Start LR - Clear all already-there cheats - Shut LR - Restart LR - Type in as many cheats as you want - Play in Test Drive, Single Race, etc, but not Time or Circuit Here's what doesn't work: - Start LR - Clear all cheats - Put a cheat in - Shut LR - Restart LR Here's also what doesn't work: - Start LR - Put in one cheat - Exit LR - Restart LR - Clear that one cheat - Do anything in-game (just don't restart it) - Put that cheat in However, if you now put a different cheat, the different one will work - just not the original one.

What do we need/want in a LRR Remake?

i mean that's just something you can change with config values. allowing for more laser types and being able to aim and fire them in first-person mode would be a better point to make imo.

    HTML5 Rock Raiders Remake

It has been a few weeks since the previous update, so I'd like to summarize the changes that have been made since then: -The biggest change is that as of today, vehicles are supported! At the moment the hover scout and small digger have been added to the game. I will be going through and adding each vehicle, along with the proper building and resource requirements, in the near future. -Dynamite has been added, which can be used to blow up hard rock walls (for the time being, dynamite does not inflict damage on Raiders, as they do not yet have a directive telling them to run away from dynamite once it has been placed). -Sounds now fade out based on distance from the camera, so large maps with many active raiders will not sound like as much of a cacophony. -As mentioned previously, reinforcements have been added, allowing you to reinforce any walls (as long as your raider is carrying a hammer) in order to prevent landslides. In addition, there have been numerous bugfixes and graphical tweaks. You can check out the full list of changes on github. Coming up, expect more vehicles, proper level objectives, and addressing issues with levels that do not load properly or do not load at all. Enjoy!

    Impersonate le717 Day 2018

So, um, I was planning on doing a thing. I really was. Then college surprised me. I got something else as an alternative, but that other thing ended up 2 hours away in someone's backpack. So I fell back to a cheap entry. I'll end up posting my second idea when I get the thing back. In the mean time, here's my entry to Impersonate le717 Day 2017.

    Old LEGO Island Message Board

If you've never seen it, take a look at this old LEGO Island 1/2 fan site: http://www.oocities.org/wonkeyzonkey/main.html It was hosted on Geocities, which taken offline in 2009, but is mirrored on the website linked above now. I remember it coming up in LEGO Island discussions on BZPower years back, and as far as I know it's the source of the "bataat" cheat code for LI2 (which lets you use the hats/hair the developers in the cave have on the LEGO Island citizens) - the LI2 devs apparently told the website author about both that cheat and the "sdreams" cheat to unlock the cave. Maybe the cave cheat was first posted there as well, who knows. Anyway, I was poking around and found the site apparently goes back to as early as 2000, and was originally hosted on another server/domain - and of course it was only a LEGO Island 1 site at the time, as LI2 wouldn't be released for another year: http://web.archive.org/web/20000816122150/http://mykonos.cve.uri.edu/lego/ As of April 2001 the site moved to Geocities, due to the old host not being sufficient for the site's traffic (note LI2 still hadn't been released yet): http://web.archive.org/web/20010716062323/http://mykonos.cve.uri.edu/lego/ But more interestingly, and the main reason I'm posting this topic, if you look at the earliest archive of the site, it had a message board for LI1: http://web.archive.org/web/20000823015548/http://www.insidetheweb.com/mbs.cgi/mb887196 There's not a ton of posts there, but still more than you might expect. It's kind of interesting, seeing people trying to figure out character names, and there was a discussion of what people would want out of a sequel (though all but the first post in that thread isn't archived). Also a rumor you could play as the Brickster, which I guess is actually kinda true with debug mode.

LEGO Island 2 Beta on PS1 "discovered" (IMAGE HEAVY)

Randomly playing around in the PS1 beta and discovered that you can make the horse fly or bug it out by spamming the jump button (don't know if this is fixed in the final version, haven't tried)

    Rock Raiders Wave Two?

Given the level of complexity of sets back then (excessive juniorization), I find it unlikely that they would have had too much environmental stuff. If they did have one that showed off the underground nature of the theme it would probably just have utilized BURPs/LURPs, a rock with crystal inside, and a few pieces to help make the BURP/LURP feel more like part of the scene. My guess is that wave 2 wouldn't be entirely, or even largely, models from the game. They probably would have expanded the theme a bit and given how other the other multi-year action/adventure theme from that time, Adventurers developed, probably changed scenery. They didn't really keep any themes in the same place from year to year - stuff like Space, Aquazone, Time Cruisers, Castle, and so forth (with slightly earlier/later releases) always saw significant shifts between years. The only real exceptions are Star Wars (sets came from all episodes to start with) and BIONICLE (2001-2002 didn't have any real palette shift). This would probably mean some degree of palette shift (see above). All just speculation, of course, but it would fit the patterns I've noticed from the 90's through the early 00's.
