This is a public, standalone release of one of Time Raiders' vehicles, the Hematite Howitzer. For this release, the vehicle overwrites the Small Mobile Laser Cutter. It uses the same laser that the Mining Laser building uses, but this can be modded to your liking. It costs eight crystals to transport it, but you can change this as well. Follow the instructions in the included readme to install it.

Ooh, now you make me want to build one of these in Lego for myself I have neaaaaarly all the pieces in neaaaarly all the colours required for this... including that giant Insectoids laser thing which is a fantastic use of that piece Also nice to see you haven't gone overboard with the polygon count, at least that might help LRR with its perpetual crashing problems! Fantastic modelling and I look forward to zapping monsters in Time Raiders with it! ... will need to get onto level-making again so I have some nice monsters to zap with them

You probably need to make the background color the 255th color in the index. All of the 8-bit BMP files in this game are indexed, so sometimes the game looks at the color index instead of the color value when determining certain things. I opened a few fonts in GIMP to check this, and the few I did had red as the last color in the index. I'll bet it doesn't care what the color is, but instead only looks at its position. If you have GIMP, you can check this yourself by going to Colors -> Map -> Rearrange Colormap. The game already has a way to forcibly make a certain color index transparent. Put "A###_" in front of the filename (with ### being the index number of the desired color), tell the CFG to look at this new file, and see if it works.

I find it really interesting that some of the tracks have really good melody/harmony when mashed together like this. It's fascinating.

Oh and you can do a little modding to explore some terrain besides what's loaded by default. That's about it, really.
