Note/Request: if you have old saves or backups of one of the RRU servers mentioned below, I would appreciate it, if you can post a download link or at least send it to me. It can be cool to explore those old worlds again : D! They may not be a thing anymore, but in the past there were quite a few RRU Minecraft servers*. I was on some of them, but I always got the impression that they never lasted that long and as time went on I wondered, how many there were in the end. Therefore I decided last year to make a list, but I only shared it with a few people and never got around to posting it on the forum... until now! It may not be complete (the very early days of RRU Minecraft servers for example) and it's a work in progress, where I will add links to old forum threads and pictures to have a nice overview thread in the end. In the end I hope that this will be a nice overview and discussion thread about past Minecraft servers and the events that happened on them. Maybe someone will feel inspired to make a new RRU Minecraft server one day^^. And here is the list (I also added some bullet points, when I remembered some buildings and events from them. I hope that the user names are all the most recent ones, because some may have changed since we are talking about old Minecraft servers after all): ~~~RRU Minecraft Server Overview~~~ Minecraft Server from Cyrem in the early days (around 2011/2012?): during my search to find content for this thread I have found one or two posts that mentioned Cyrem having a server. I haven't saved the links though, but I will try to include them soon. It's a good overview picture): Good news! I have found an old world file!: this server was devided into two separate worlds (Creative and Survival Map. You see the Survival map in the picture above, although later on Creative mode was also enabled on that one) and at one point JimbobJeffers has send the Creative mode map with the Build Wars arena to Mysteli. Here is the post and here is the download link (+ alternative link) in said post. It's an older version of said map though since some things (like a giant waffle) are missing. I hope that this definition is good enough (probably not XD) My opinion: I am surprised/saddened that the servers never really lasted that long (the record is JimbobJeffers' 2nd server with a bit over a year I think). It's not exactly the Google Graveyard, but about 10 servers in at least 7 years sounds like quite a lot of defunct servers to me.

In a flash of nostalgia not so very long ago I came across RockRaidersUnited, Manic Miners and Stud.io. This soon resulted in some of my own vehicle designs, mostly made for filling out niches that I didn`t think were covered in the game yet: Small Airborne Transporter This is a flying transporter capable of carrying small loads across impassable terrain and with a recommended cost of around 5 EC. A powerful headlight at the front illuminates far ahead of the craft allowing for high speed, and a rear compartment allows for carrying additional equipment. It would act as a stepping stone towards the Tunnel Transporter, which is after all at the very top of the tech tree, is very expensive and is the only way to transport anything significant by air. Large Transport This is a sturdy vehicle capable of carrying loads and resisting landslides and blasts and with a recommended cost of around 6 EC. Having a few of those should be able to keep up with a big mining operation in keeping the cavern floor clean, which otherwise would take a fleet of small transporters that require constant replacement as they only have 100 hp. This comes in 2 versions: a short one with 4 wheels and a V8 engine and a long one with 6 wheels and a V12, which could be seen as an upgraded form. I need to update the animations on the Armored Transport Truck, but it's complete otherwise. It has no upgrades (this could change) and is slow at 0.8 RouteSpeed, but it doesn't lose anything its carrying if attacked. It should be more resilient against landslides if I remembered to set the values.

The Transport Buggy is nearly complete: I can't remember who made this new wheel model. I need to find them and ask if it's fine to use it with modifications.
