Hallfiry reporting in. I'm the guy who originally uploaded the Rockraiders comic to imgur and mentioned it on Wikipedia. My Lego World Club magazines are pretty damaged, since I didn't treat them very well when I was a child. But because you guys seem to have such interest in them, here's a scan of the Rockraiders issue of Lego World Club (9-10/1999): [for link see list below] The PDF contains only pages 1-12 and 21-32. The eight pages 13-20 are ripped out of my physical copy and seem to be lost. Pages 10/11 and 22/23(which is 14/15 in the PDF) should make you drool I'll check the attic for more issues and scan them all tomorrow. EDIT: Found the following issues: 1998: 9-10(damaged), 11-12(damaged) 1999: 3-4(damaged), 5-6(complete), 7-8(damaged), 9-10(damaged) 2000: 1-2(complete), 3-4(complete), 11-12(complete) 2001: 5-6(damaged), 7-8(complete), 9-10(complete) 2002: 1-2(complete), 3-4(complete), 5-6(complete+Extrablatt), 9-10(complete) 2003: 9(complete) 2004: - 2005: - 2006: 4(complete), 5(complete) I'll scan them in chronological order, starting with the oldest. EDIT2: Found some more stuff! Lego World Club mach mit! 1999: 1-2, 5-6, 11-12 2000: 5-6 Lego World Club shop (later "Shop At Home") 1999: 3-4, 5-8, 9-10, 11-12 2000: 3-4, 5-8 2001: 5-6, Fall-Winter 2002: 1-2

    Map Creator (0.9.11)

Map Creator (0.9.11) Map Creator is a tool to build new LEGO Rock Raiders levels. Things to know: Import/Export single map files by clicking the "Options" button in the correct map mode. Press [shift] while placing to speed place. That this is a BETA and you should report all bugs and errors. The Arrows on the bottom right hand corner change the mode. In the Monster Editor Right Click + [shift] will clear that tile. Import original game maps with the specific Original Map Importer. Paths and Rubble cannot be hidden. Screenshot: http://i.minus.com/izwI0JwMKmVBQ.jpg v0.9.11 Added Crystal to Object Mode Set Quantity of Rock Raiders or Crystals on one tile. (Position is randomized on that tile when exported) Download

LDRAW and LDD to DXF, SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor

Hello, I wanted to share with this group a couple of small translators I've written. They can read LDRAW (.dat) and LDD (.g) files and translate them to DXF, SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor. Each is final application is a separate app. With the help of bartvbl I've been able to include the ability to now read .g files from LDD where before I couldn't and it's important to credit him with all the work on reading the binary file format. There are a few current limitations. First is .g files where a brick would have any variants with decorations. Like bartvbl's viewer, there will be faces missing in these cases. Still working on figuring out some stuff from the children files associated with them (.g1, .g2, etc.) Second, the Autodesk Inventor translator is quite slow with larger brick files. Unfortunately the Inventor API requires a lot of object references to just create a face in 3D. Granted I'm comparing this to the SolidWorks API that requires a single API call for each face. Also, Inventor's merge surface option currently doesn't produce any different results when checked or unchecked. I've submitted this to their API Development group and they've opened a support request as they're seeing the same issue. In both cases (SolidWorks and Inventor) the documentation for creating BREP geometry directly is not documented very well, as I don't think it's common in a parametric design tool (where features, not faces are build one at a time). I also wanted to share this on the LDRAW forums, as this is where the original request for SolidWorks and Inventor translators came from. However, I have tried repeatedly to log in and request password changes, etc. with little luck. Anyway, here is a video showing how the different translators work. http://youtu.be/PIb53rd_DGk

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I need to make up for a lack of news reports, so... And on an uncannily related note: EDIT: Apparently someone changed my first picture from the box to something more high-quality. Well, I don't have much to scan, I guess. I think I became a club member in 1997, but my issues from that time are the others are pretty in complete. The Lego World Club did indeed become Lego Magazin. 3-4/2002 is still Lego World Club, 9-10/2002 is Lego Magazin and is actually the same as Lego Magazine issue 3. I'll skip my damaged issues and first do all the complete ones, so Dark_Turtle can continue his scanning and we fill the gaps for eachother.

  7. Once again, the LEGO community has said "We want a LEGO DeLorean!", and the guys behind the original DeLorean support page (Team BTTF) have delivered. In fact, they have a lot of stuff for sets based off of the Back To The Future Trilogy. The next BTTF set to go under product review will be an Ultimate Collector's Edition (Like the large-scale ships seen in LEGO Star Wars). Hopefully, the finished model will be a much more accurate DMC-12 with time-travelling components added, thanks to the larger scale. Also, it seems that the model may or may not have Power Functions. Whether this will be in the final model remains to be seen. It's only mere hours since the project got enough supporters, anyway! And not a moment too soon, as the deadline for this season's review was mere minutes away. In other news, Either myself or ProfessorBrickkeeper made the last support. Doesn't really matter who, seeing as we made it . Sources: http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/8889#
