Well, this was actually an accident of mine!

To prepare, you need to view the file extension. To do so, click:

Tools->Folder Options->View then scroll down to find "Hide Extensions For Known File Types". De-select it so there is no check in the check-box.

To Mod These Games:

Goto Program Files, then select the folder of the SCS Game you would like to mod.

FOR HARD TRUCK 18 WHEELS OF STEEL (AND ANY-GAME WITH THE EXTENSION .ZIPFS)

There are two data.zipfs files located in the directory, One in the base and one in the Game folder. For both of these, remove the "fs" from the end of the extention so they are named "data.zip" (Without the quotes). You may now open these with any good Zip Program, extract the files, then re-add your modded files.

FOR BUS DRIVER (AND ANY-GAME WITH THE EXTENSION .SCS)

There is only one .scs file located in the base directory. Rename "base.scs" to "base.zip" (Changing the extension) and do as above.

HARD TRUCK FILE RESEARCH:

->Note 1: In this Research, Prism is used to name the Engine.

->Note 2: There are several Files with no extension. I have not documented them, as they do not seem to be moddable

.ogg files: Self-Explanatory really, these are sound files similar to .mp3, but uses a free decoder. You can get many a decoder with a few simple clicks on google

.sc files: Seems to me like these are config files, yet I think they deal with UI type elements (Like CSS in Web=Page Programing)These are scripting files

.psm: Model Files, which should be refrenced as Prism files, because that is what the engine is named. Still looking for a Importer/Exporter

.shd: Shader properties used by Prism

.png: Picture files, common on the Internet

.font: Commonly encountered in Video Games, this particular one is a configuration which should be easy to mod

.dat: Data files which can be used by games for many things. These are unseen for moddability

.btr: Unsure

.gtd: Reading this in a text file came up with text like GEOM in-between different symbols. Could be Geometry data

.bsp: Used by many games to keep load times down, by chopping levels down into smaller sections called "BSPs". Not sure about this though

textures (No Extension): File Pointers to Image files

.db: Like a dll file, shouldn't be modded

.def: A definitons list for Materials.db, has no modding purpose

.scx: A config file for sounds

.cfg: Two configuration files, Defualts is the original keys when you get the game, and auoexec is the Pointers to the other 2 .cfg files, including the one outside the .zip file

.tga: Picture file, less common than .png but used more often in Video Games

.bmp: A common picture format

.grn: Unknown

BUS DRIVER FILE RESEARCH

.cfg: there is only one...and it links to a non-existant file...

.mat: Getting new data on this, it seems to be either a sound file, math calculations, Rateriser type Pictures (They assist with Lighting in a Video Game) or a Confirmed by opening in Notepad, this is a configuration file for Material Types

.def: Many different types of definitions, like colors (Which are in Hexdecimal), materials and Sky/Sun data

.sii: Some kind of config file, looks to be like Marker data (Positions of objects in game like cameras and the drivers bottom on the seat =)Script files

.btf/.txt: These files are unknown, but they appear in the definitions folder
