Discovered this today: If you first begin to drill a seam using a laser (Small mobile laser cutter on the screen) and then switch to the adjacent wall, this wall (Hard rock on the screen) can not be drilled to the end. He is of course failing at it because his pick has like 10 spiders and the other one has like 100 spiders. If he is actually talking about the crystals then he is also failing because there are perhaps 2 crystals on the ground. They would never make it back in time with all those spiders.
