My guess is that the game didn't read the EndFrame value correctly for the damage animation and got stuck somewhere along the way. It's weird, especially if you didn't touch the LWS at all. It is the glitch that happens when a Rock Raider get scared and drops some dynamite, and then picks it up and places it where it should have gone.
