JrMasterModelBuilder
Ok, for school I need a video editor. Specifically, I need to be able to take clips and audio and mash them up. A free Windows video editor is preferable, but if there is a significantly better Linux video editor, I will VM it. Also, I would equate "best" to most powerful and professional and not necessarily ease of use. I use a lot of professional grade software.
Addictgamer
Well, I only use linux, and in said OS, I generally use Pitivi for my video editing. I'm not sure if it allows mashing up of clips and audio, but if I recall correctly, I liked it more than the hundreds of other programs specifically for that. cub
I've heard of a video editing software called Sony Vegas, and from what I've heard about it, it's pretty good. Quite hard to obtain though you could watch youtube videos on how to acquire it free. Heaps of youtube 'famous' people use it. I suggest you check it out :-)

JrMasterModelBuilder
Pitivi, I'll look into that. @^ Sorry, all my software is legit and that's not about to change. Besides, there's better software to pirate than that.
TheDoctor
What you could look into is Medibuntu. I've never tried it, but it might have what you need.

I would have put a picture here, but I cbf to upload the thing I have which is in a movie and not on images. If you need something for Audio, either stick to Audacity for single sounds which need effects applied, or Reaper for complication projects. As for video, the trial for Vegas HD Platinum is here: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/trials/moviestudiope
