...

I've said this about several thousand times on multiple sites, the FBI was working independently from the Government.

ACTA isn't just the American Government. So far from what I've heard, it's only UK which hasn't signed on.

We are screwed unless someone acts now.

I just looked up ACTA.

The America I support, the America I fight for... is gone.

This is not what the founding fathers wanted when they created a nation of freedom and equality.

I do not wish to live in a world where a handful of people dictate the lives of many.

If I am to lose this fight, I wish to die fighting than to live having failed the people. I wish to die a warrior's death.

Australia has backstabbed me, and done the same. This isn't a world worth living. I'm considering picking up my hacking skills and joining Anonymous.

These are troubling times. The election you guys are having now is going to be very important. Not for the internet, but for everything else. As far as the internet goes, there has been no big petition formed, little resistance, and most people I talk to still think that SOPA was the big one and the end. I'm astounded.

Seriously, becoming a communist sounds great right about now. It's companies like EA that are the reason for these stupid bills. Now we have to pay with it with our freedom. The internet isn't anyone's place to control. It's a collective of people, not a group of people being controlled by those who don't know any better.

As I've said before, if ACTA passes, I'll make serious considerations into going into Canberra with weapons and taking as many people with me. They've gone too far.

As much as I hate to admit it, I'm considering hiring several PMCs if I can and storming DC myself. If we win, congress will be paying for their crimes against humanity. If we lose, I'll die fighting.

Sadly, no matter what happens, there will be blood. If ACTA somehow falls, the people pressing it will probably be assassinated. If it passes, there's going to be another civil war in the US. There's no avoiding bloodshed.

As for communism, it ultimately boils down to the same thing - trading freedom for something tangible.

This is going to suck balls. I know this thing is probably going to pass because this thing has been going around the world in secret and who knows how many countries have signed it.

When this passes then there is definitely going to be a worldwide revolution. The countries of the world are not going to be able to use their armed forces because how can you say you are fighting for freedom when you are working for the people trying to take it away?

This will be the great deciding battle that will bring the world together. This is the battle that will either take out the people or take out the puppet masters. I can't wait to see who gets killed first because it will be a spectacular beginning to World War III.

You know what, I've been thinking, and I know that I'm going to sound like Cave Johnson here, but life is giving us lemons, and making lemonade isn't helping. You know what? Let's make life take the lemons back! GET MAD, AND FIGHT BACK! I don't want these lemons. What am I supposed to do with them, make lemonade?! It's not helping! Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give us lemons! Do you know who we are?! We're the people who're gonna burn your house down with these lemons you're giving us! We're gonna invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!

Anyway, my morale has improved, and I've decided that we need to fight this tooth and nail! Send messages to politicians! Rally the people! Have them speak out! If these people in power ignore a loud public outcry, then they really are foolish fools who foolishly support foolish garbage treaties of foolish tomfoolery, to paraphrase Franziska Von Karma from the Ace Attorney games! Don't just stand there, do something!

Poland ignored it's protestors, and signed the treaty today. This is horrible. They're getting closer to formalising it, and we just aren't strong enough...

Anyway, here's a theme song for you:

Sit back, relax and watch the world change around you. This isn't a free world, it never has been. People only have freedom to a degree. Killing people will not fix any problems, instead you'll just be branded as a murder and everyone will forget about you and feel sorry for the person you killed. Violence causes more problems then it fixes, I assure you.

I hope people realise that if the world ever has a nuke war, everything you do and love will be worthless... including the internet. Anonymouse might be something on the internet, but in real life they mean nothing. The only thing of value will be trying to keep yourself alive. Sure you can die fighting for your country (I certainly will not be fighting for any country in a time of war, I simply will not kill another person in the name of any country) and get a piece of rock in the dirt saying you died for the cause....... or you can be the guy who was a prisoner of war, but managed to live. I'd rather be alive with no credit, rather then dead with credit.

Cyrem, we had this discussion in the chatroom. We only end up being subjugated and abused by those in power because we lazily sit around doing nothing to change our circumstances. Honestly, the reason why the world is crumbling is because the people in power have indoctrinated us into thinking that taking action against an oppressive government is rebellion and treason, not standing up for our rights, and that peace can only come from absolute power, not freedom.

As for you saying that you'd rather live having let people push you around than die fighting so that others can live in freedom, that is the most greedy, selfish, dishonorable, and cowardly thing anyone could do. I don't expect you to change your mind, but neither will I in this case. I'm a warrior of sorts - one who fights with words rather than a sword (though I'm good with a sword too, but that's better left for a blog post), and I follow a strict code of honor. I am willing to give my life so that others can live free.

The Brigadier

Looks like the UK have signed ACTA. And only five EU countries voted against. The deciding vote will be in June, but let's face it. We've lost.

Although it may not the right thing to do, it is a very human thing to do so.

That's nonsense. If the government is willing to kill people, you are not free and you will not die free.

I find it saddening that people no longer have the will to stand up and fight for their rights. You would rather submit to oppression and slavery?

I still would die free, as I would die fighting for the freedom of all people.

Most people have never had the desire to stand up for their rights. And that's probably not going to change.

I still would die free, as I would die fighting for the freedom of all people.

That doesn't mean you'll die free.

Then I must admit those people deserve such a fate. But will I let them suffer it? No. Even if they deserve it, no one should go through such torture.

Still, one man alone is powerless, but an entire population can do the impossible. We are not the ones who should live in fear, rather it is those who wish to oppress us that should fear us, as their power only exists if we let it.

Fight those who wish to oppress and enslave the people. Overthrow them if you have to. Freedom can never be destroyed, only suppressed, and never for long!

That doesn't mean you'll die free.

You can say that, but it doesn't change anything.

Blarg.

"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."

I think this applies to all free peoples.

Just my blarg.

I agree with 40K.

I was talking to a friend of mine today and she said that World War 3 will a Cyber War which I think is the truth. ACTA will get passed because SOPA and PIPA have diverted protests to them so people don't notice ACTA. This bill will get passed and people will start to rise up against the governments of the world and throw off the shackle we have been trained to wear for so many years.

I agree. It's not just a blarg, either, it's the truth.

I'm still considering it, but I've decided to observe what happens first before I make such a major, world-changing decision.

This topic is getting blown way out of proportion and you're getting worked up over ONE law. It's not the first and it certainly won't be the last. You are sounding just like an extremist.

If discussion about actions to take (other than petition signing and harmless stuff) continue like this, I'll be doing some censoring of my own.

I have to admit, Cyrem, you do make me laugh. It was a terrible joke, but it deserved a laugh.

Extreme, act mature for once in your life. Cyrem doesn't want discussions of members implying that they're going to take up arms against the United States government. I think that's pretty fair.
