Anonymouse
We shouldn't waste our time trying to find out how the world is going to end. Yes, this is a waste of time, but anyone could argue that the whole "Off-topic" section is. And we're trying to encourage discussion here, not kill it. So yeah, the world WILL end. It's inevitable. It will happen, because at some time the universe must end. It can't continue existing forever... At some point there will be a huge matter-antimatter collision which will reduce the whole universe back to the energy it originally came from. That's my opinion. I just can't imagine the universe existing forever. It HAS to end. Everything does. Or my mind is just too small.

DeactivatedAccount
To end this. Notrodarum predicted that the World would Change in 2012, not end, As for the Mayan & Jewish callander. Ask a Jewish guy, and cross your fingers.
Anonymouse
To end this. Notrodarum predicted that the World would Change in 2012 There's wisdom in that. The world changes every year and you can't expect it to stop happening. Who believes the universe/world will ever end?

dabomb29
IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. I'm tired of people thinking "aw mah gawdz 2012 we r all doomed oh noes I better makez a topic about it lolz" Seriously, if you think the world is going to end in 2012 you might as well kill yourself now. (Not aiming this at the OP, just talking about 2012 topics in general.

I figured that since Armageddon week has started then this would be the best place to talk about it. I personally think nothings going to happen. Addictgamer
Everybody is taking this doomsday stuff wrong. The Mayan calendar ends where I take over the world. They weren't going to make a new calendar because they knew all personal computers come with one built in, and by that point in time, it's pointless continuing their own. They even prepared tribute for me all those thousands of years ago. But then they went and wiped themselves out. I guess the new age will have to do without a bunch of Mayans piloting my starships. I'm quite flattered that everybody fears me so much, but really, when I told the Mayans "the world it will end," I meant "science shall rule rather than humans' greed for power. No more will inventors be persecuted for their revolutionary inventions. No more will retards with an education run around claiming to be scientists and impose lies upon the scientific community. No, science shall ascend into its rightful ruling place and people will learn the meaning of 'progress'." ^^^^^^^^^^^^ That, is what I think of all this 2012 hype. Lair
nope.avi Wow Extreme, your post is full of crap. Don't deny it, you know Addict speaks the truth. He will conquer the world with his science, and then leave it and make his home in an asteroid in space where he will create a universe.

Sonic322
That's Spiderman with cancer isn't it? I think Addict has a pretty good idea of what's going on. But let me ask you why would you build any old generic starship when you can make the LMS explorer?
Phoenyx
You know, some people would say that the world will end because the earth will be aligned with the sun and Sagittarius A*... But I disagree. That alignment occures every year on winter solstice, and we're still here. Other people believe that the world will get smashed by a rogue planet called "Nibiru"... But I disagree with that too. We would see something like that well before it hit us. I could go on forever like this. But I disagree. I won't. Sorry about all the sprites. I just felt that the whole "But I disagree" line was fitting for this post.

I saw it on the Daily Show. It was pretty funny. I think what I'm trying to say is...

Asteroids are nowhere near as big as planets, and if it was too small to notice until afterwards then it would probably be too small to cause any catastrophic damage. Actually it passed between Earth and the Moon and no one noticed because no one was paying attention at the time. No that it was too small. The LMS Explorer is kind of... rustic... old... crappy? It has way too many flaws is what I'm saying. Addict's technology is far superior to the silly miners. No that it was too small. But why wasn't anyone paying attention in the first place? Because a small chunk of rock that probably couldn't do much to us wouldn't be something that deserves our attention. I'm pretty sure that if there was a rogue planet or a dangerous asteroid on a collision course with earth, we would have seen it even without specifically looking for it. Especially a rogue planet, which would be visible in the night sky to the naked eye as a point of light reflected off its surface. Even amateur astronomers would know something was up when they turn their telescopes towards this new "star".
