The London Toy Fair may have had strict limits preventing any photos of upcoming LEGO sets from being taken, but thankfully the same did not hold true for the Nuremberg Toy Fair. Pictures of summer 2013 LEGO sets and themes have been pouring in, and there's some really great stuff to be seen, from a new wave of Galaxy Squad sets to an entirely new Castle theme and... Gorilla-shaped mechs with banana blasters? Oh Chima...

BrickJournal editor Joe Meno has taken a number of pictures and sent them to Brickset, all of which can be seen in this Flickr set.

Likewise, Fredro Photo has uploaded his own set of pictures to Flickr, showing several things the Brickset photos do not.

Finally, Hobby Media has uploaded a video showcasing the new Technic sets:

They get my respect for presumably referencing Wolfpacks and Royal Knights/Kingdom I.

Still not really feeling Galaxy Quest though, but the combiner vehicle is by far the best set I've seen for it thus far.

Agreed. Gotta admit, I don't really like the design of their siege equipment. In fact, I think I'm receiving some "Cedric the Bull"-ish vibes here, too.

Funny, the new Castle line is actually getting heavily bashed on most LEGO sites because it's aimed at younger kids and the sets are blocky and lacking in detail, like Knights Kingdom, and the heroes are yet another lion faction. I might point out that most AFOLs look down on Castle themes from the 90s (Fright Knights, Royal Knights) to KK1 and KK2, due to the empty, hollow buildings and generally dumbed-down style (and in the case of KK2, "jellybean knights"). The 2007 Castle theme got better reception, and Kingdoms got even better reception, and now people are just bummed out that LEGO has gone directly from incredible stuff like this or this to... This.

Anyway, lots of pictures and videos have been posted on spieletest.at, showing some stuff we haven't seen before:
