Eagle98 Posted November 15, 2009 Share Posted November 15, 2009 Ok, I have this big problem where, whenever I attempt to play Rock Raiders: 1. My computer screen goes black for a while, as usual. 2. Then it reverts back to my desktop. 3. A taskbar (you know, that blue car at the bottom of the screen with "Start" and everything) object pops up on the taskbar saying that the Rock Raiders window is open. 4. And it's not open. I tried clicking on the task bar thing and it still won't show, just hides the cursor. I run on Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Anyone can help? .: Eagle '98 :. Cirevam Posted November 15, 2009 Share Posted November 15, 2009 One thing you should definitely do is run Rock Raiders in Compatibility Mode for wither Windows 98 or Windows 2000. One of them should work. If that doesn't do anything then try setting your color resolution to 16-bit. That's in the Display submenu of the Control Panel. I've tried '98, but it didn't work. I'll have a shot at 2000. Apparently it doesn't work either. Should I screen capture a video? Never mind now, I solved the problem. I have to work in windowed mode and set the compability to Windows NT 5.0 (Service Pack 5). But thanks for offering to help anyway.
