The Command/Response Game.

You look outside. You don't see any movement or anything out of the ordinary. Which is good, because you just realized that it's almost time to check up with the other team.

You sit down and turn on the headpeice. "Hello? Derek? Phil? Mariam?"

No response. Hmm.

Then again, you are a bit early this time.

Robert looks outside again. He suddenly ducks back in. "Shh." he says suddenly.

You turn the piece off and flatten up against the wall. You... very faintly... hear footsteps. Headed your way.

You chill for a while until you hear the footsetps come to a stop in front of the room. Two seconds pass. Then you hear a voice. "Tsk... Not this place again." The footsteps then continue past your position.

You wait until the footsteps go away. You slowly start to follow them, back the way you came.

Suddenly your communicator starts to go off.

You duck back in and answer the device.

Whoever is sending out this signal isn't from the other group. It's being sent out on a frequency Phil told you not to use. The frequency you are supposed to communicate with hasn't been active at all yet. That's odd.

The most you can make out is:

"Blahh blahh blahh blahh blahh blahh blahh blahh blahh blahh"

No, really. You can't understand what language this guy is speaking in. Or who he's speaking to for that matter. He appears to be the only one on the line.

Minus whoever might be listening that is.

What are you talking about? There was an explosion involved. That immediately makes it awesome.

Anyway, try again. Before that happened.

You would swear in those languages..... if you knew them. So instead, you drop the f bomb in plain old English.

"Robert, do you know any other languages?"

He shakes his head. "I took spanish in high school. I remember how to say yes, no, and cheese. That's about it."

"Yeah, f*beep* is right." you hear over the radio.

You gawk at the radio for a second. "Sorry, I'm on the wrong line." You say.

The man on the line chuckles. "Yes, yes you are. Sorry to take up your time." he continues to ramble off in that other language.

Huh. So that's why Phil said not to use it.

You throw a perfectly generic object at the window. It bounces off.

Right before the thought to get up and pursue the guy enters your mind, the channel you are supposed to communicate with has a sudden spike of activity.
