Storm
Hi there, welcome to the topic where everyone shares their thoughts about computers! Today we will talk about Windows 7! I have just acquired it, and I would like everyone else's opinion! (BTW, does rock raiders work with windows seven?) Oh yea, and it has the latest NVIDIA graphics card. *jumps for joy* Wow, this is awesome! :D

Lair
Windows Movie maker sucks. If your computer made a backup of programs,I would advise getting the old WMM stuff out of there and in to your new programs folder. The New ans sucky WMM comes in a Windows Live update pack. The Photo gallery is nice... But WMM SUCKS CHIEF'S MOUSTACH!!!! To quote the maker of that Ben 10 vs Bionicle topic.
Addictgamer
Awesome! Install 64-bit. Get 64 bit programs. Enjoy! Vista actually is wonderful if you disable UAC.

Acmex
Windows Vista WAS windows seven. Except everyone got so mad, they debugged it more, and renamed it, while releasing the old version. See... Windows 3.1 95 (4) 98 / NT(5) ME / 2K (6, people) XP--wait. Dam... Oh well... The beta was cool...

Sonic322
Wikipedia says: Windows 1.x: Windows 1.0 Windows 2.x: Windows 2.0 Windows 2.1x Windows 3.x: Windows 3.0 Windows 3.1x Windows 3.2 Windows NT 3.1 Windows NT 3.5 Windows NT 3.51 Windows 4.x: Windows 95 Windows 98 Windows 98 SE or Windows 98 Second Edition Windows Me or Windows Millennium Edition Windows 5.x: Windows NT 5.0 or Windows 2000 Windows NT 5.1 Windows XP Windows Fundamentals for Legacy PCs Windows NT 5.2 Windows Server 2003 Windows XP 64-Bit Edition Windows XP Professional x64 Edition Windows Home Server ReactOS Windows 6.x: Windows NT 6.0 Windows Vista Windows Server 2008 Windows Small Business Server Windows Odyssey Windows NT 6.1 Windows 7 Windows Server 2008 R2 As you can see, wikipedia say that Windows 7 is actually part of the sixed windows generation. But this is all from wikipedia
Acmex
Despite what your schoolteachers say, Wikipedia is generally reliable when it comes to casual research. Its the articles on people and events that you probably need to watch. Also, WinOdyssey does not belong on that list, as it was never released, in beta or in full. RockmoddeR
Good point. Also, after a conversation with sciguy, I'm gonna wait to buy Win7, considering I won't be able to use ANY of the 64-bit advantages...
