Hey guys! I already tried it at Rebrickable and I am really enjoying it. I came up with an idea to pass the time in a fun way with the community. We can build something together by sharing the .io file and try to create something with some basic rules to make it more interesting. If you want to join, but do not know how to open a .io file. Go to Bricklink - Studio and download Studio.

 

To get this project in control we will use some basic rules to make it more interesting. Stick to these rules to give everyone the best experience.

 

Rules

1. It is required to claim your turn first by posting a message, hold it for a maximum of 1 hour and edit your post with the new changes with the .io file. This will prevent people changing the .io file at the same time.
2. Add a new step to add your parts.
3. You may only add and/or edit a combining total of 10 parts per turn.
4. Editing a part implies changing a color, replace a brick with another brick variant and changing or replacing bricks with a different sticker.
5. You may only remove a maximum of 5 parts per turn, but only if you added or edited a maximum of 5 parts or less this turn.
6. You are not allowed to go again after your turn is done, until somebody else finished their turn after you.
7. Create transparency by mentioning the new parts added to the file including the color in each post. Use Bricklink numbering.
8. Only existing parts in studio in the correct color is allowed.
9. Custom parts are not allowed for this project.
10. Increase the version number of the .io file by one before uploading.
11. After 5 days of topic inactivity the last person can go again.

 

If somebody does not comply by the rules, then we will skip their version and continue using the previous one.

 

How to start

• First reply to this post to claim your one hour to change the file.
• Before adding anything in the .io file, create a new step and add your bricks into this step.
• Add, edit or remove parts according to the rules.
• Edit your post when you are done with the .io file. Do not forget to increase the file version name by one.
• Add a title changes and list every change you made according to the (Example). Render is not required. You could copy the text of the example and paste it into your post to get the text styling as well as the bullet points.
• Drag the new .io file version into your post while editing it. This will make you upload the file.
• When you are satisfied, save it and done!

 

Tips

• If you do not want to type every part name out, but want to copy each part name to add it to your list on your post. Click on a part in studio and click on the part number on the bottom left to go to the Bricklink website. Copy the part name and paste it into your post.
• If every 10th person (or in between) would like to render the .io file and post it here, then it will show the progress as well.
