[MOC] B-25 Mitchell
RobExplorien and 2 others reacted to apemax for a topic
Hello everyone, Well it's been over a year since I last posted here however I've finally finished my B-25 I've been working on for just over a year and a half. It's had several major rebuilds of certain sections since the WIP topic I posted but It's finally at a point where I can call it finished and start on something else. Some basic info first, It's wingspan is roughly 3ft (around 92cm), Fuselage length is about 2ft 6in (around 76cm), It has a XL motor for each engine. so that makes two, It has two M motors powering the landing gear and it also has working flaps, ailerons, rudders and elevators (All controlled though the control column and gear wheel in the cockpit.). The top turret can rotate 360 degrees as well. As you may notice in the pictures below I ended up not being able to fit the battery box into the actual model as there just wasn't enough room for it, As it turned out though it came in handy as one of the annoying flaws with this model is it won't actually sit on it's landing gear, It just falls backwards so the battery box was just the right hight to prop it up. I spent a long time thinking about the problem but couldn't come up with a solution for this particular model so it's just something I'll have to keep in mind for future aircraft with tricycle landing gear. Anyway, on with the pictures. More pictures can be found on brickshelf here: (once it's public) http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=563243 And on google photos here: https://goo.gl/photos/JHBLxofc9MjLfL9X8 Finally a video of it: Hope you all like it and thanks for reading/looking.3 points -

Here is an interesting idea; If in the future you plan to incorporate the "missions" (Pizza Delivery, Mechanic Pick-up, Race, etc), how about when you complete Nubby's "Drive to the Race Track and Return" mission, you are allowed to drive the vehicle you usually see him repair? If you incorporate the ability to switch characters (between Pepper, Mama, Papa, Nick and Laura), then maybe you have to do the repair mission as all the player-available minifigs before you get the Generic Car? Like with Wognif's request to incorporate the Car as drivable, this doesn't have to be top priority. It's just a one-off suggestion for a future build. Also; I tried to stress-test my computer to see how it could cope with higher Graphics quality than 'Simple', so I set it to 'Beautiful' and I got this; Do I get the 'Best Game Tester who really shouldn't be the Best Game Tester' award?3 points -

Animation: Lewa and the Rama
Pranciblad and one other reacted to emily for a topic
I could do more on this thing, but I think its best to get it out there so I can move on to other stuff and also take a bit of a break. I think it's good enough that it's a few steps up from the last animation I did. I think. Lewa just got his final mask and is a little eager to show his collection off. But is he a bad enough dude to kick all those Rama butts?? Story here is that I really liked Jonathan Kaplan's compositions for a scene in his defunct BIONICLE: Quest of the Toa fan film that had to do with Lewa fighting a swarm of Nui-Rama. He never provided visuals for the scene he had planned, but this is what I imagined based on the music he put up. The idea is that this leads into the Le-Koro chapter in MNOG.2 points -

Couldn't resist using the spawn too much command as many times as my computer could allow. (It could barely handle past 5 times haha.) Also, I love that the sky color is saved upon exiting.2 points -

Suggestions for next update: Move the Pepper model a few inches back from the camera so you aren't looking inside your own head. For the airplane, try adding a decelerator, and maybe make the planes incapable of ground bouncing flawlessly (which would be part of the decelerator). Any chance of going in the lifeguard tower at the beach, or at the very least able to walk over the base it is on? When I did the "spawn too much" command, I suddenly felt the urge to pick up items with the "e" (use) key like you can in valve/source games. I'm not sure how appropriate it would be to add such a function in this game, but perhaps it would be something to think about. The rideable skateboard needs physics like all other objects. By that I mean if you exit it mid-air currently, it stays mid-air. Question: How do you scroll up in the console? Nevermind, I kept losing the mouse due clicking anywhere. Suggestion (or bug report?) Make it so when the console is open and you click the mouse it won't disappear. Oh, and one more note for console, I think Board should perhaps be called Skateboard, that was actually what I tried first before knowing the name Since the spawn command is in now, I don't think it is really necessary to have the racetrack filled with garbage. Perhaps that can be tidied up in one of the near future updates. Edit: Driving that car in third person looks awesome (there should perhaps be a key to toggle between first and third though). Great, now fix the gravel paths too.1 point -

Take this all with a small-ish pinch of salt, but there's a plot synopsis here that's apparently "the official version from warnerbros.com" from two days ago. Have a read: Oh dear. Oh dear. Also there's a poster on that site that could also be real (?): I've asked Philip Lord and Chris Miller to confirm if this is real or not on twitter, but for now we'll sorta have to take their word for it I guess? Oh dearie me, this isn't looking good.1 point -

Hey man, try editing your post next time instead of triple posting within a short time period (4 hours can be considered short). Anyway, I can attempt to do it with that, yes. I really love how substantial and relatively quickly these updates are being pushed out! It was removed two versions ago, the version where the skateboard was added in. The text stating the controls, however, was never removed.1 point -

Did you remove the sprint function or something? I'm trying to guess if I've encountered a bug... ...basically, I got onto the skateboard and pressed 'Esc' to send me to the Information center, screwed around with Paper Airplanes and sky colour and left the building only to find that I wasn't able to sprint. Maybe disembarking the skateboard breaks the sprint function? They were removed, apparently, thanks for clearing that up Xiron. On a more light hearted note, right now would be an appropriate time for Pepper to break into a rendition of "F*** the Police";1 point -

A fella who goes by Ldziat uploaded some stuff (though they apparently pasted the wrong link for the second one): http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/various-lego-demos-and-promotional-discs.53021/ Of note are a Galidor CD (not much on it though): http://www.mediafire.com/download/zzmmhzzonyd/Galidor.rar And this: http://www.mediafire.com/download/k5k0zan1argn14c/Lego_Software_Demo_CD_2000-1.rar No ID was given, but it's 592 MB (the similar "2000-1" discs we have are different sizes: DM1G-GEN5 from Brickulator is 593 MB, DM1G-GENMU5 from bartvbl is 595). Contains demos of Chess, Creator, Friends, Loco, and Racers. Videos are the Alpha Team intro, LCKK intro, LEGOLAND intro, extended Rock Raiders intro, and Stunt Rally intro. Also has some MyStyle demo stuff. Nothing too interesting, but hey, it's here.1 point -

Wave Rebel In Game

Eight hours after finishing the first version of the model and it's already in-game. This may not seem special to you until you realize that I added the wheel nulls myself, without merging an existing animation. There is one minor problem with the camera nulls (I left them out of the Pilot's animation), but otherwise it works.© Cirevam

Wave Rebel Model
Lind Whisperer reacted to Cirevam for a gallery image
From the album: Time Dump
Here's the Wave Rebel, the Time Raider's answer to the Rapid Rider. It's very tiny and now it's the only way to ferry materials across a lake if your Command Ship is immobile. It might also be useful for recovering materials when vehicles get destroyed on the water, but I won't know if it can do that until I put it in the game. While your looking at this, let me know what you think about the color scheme. Dark blue typically signifies that the vehicle makes material collection quicker, and green is generally for drilling vehicles (so this will likely not use green), but I like the two-tone look. What color do you think should go alongside the dark blue? And in case you haven't seen it yet, Time Raiders Vehicle Pack 1 is released. Go get it!© Cirevam
