I liked the newer temp map we had. Everyone had a fresh start and it was active because everyone had to build stuff to survive.

That is one of the fun things about Minecraft. With every new map you have you can build something new and different and better than before.

That's one of the reason why giving the map to EPIC so he can move the buildings onto a 1.8 map is such a bad idea. Here is a quote from the PM I sent Anon:

Following a suggestion from EPIC, the plan is to generate an entirely new map, give said map as well as the old map to him, and have him copy the buildings from the old map into the new one.

But then you would have to find the correct land types and bioms for all the buildings.

And a lot of the buildings are hidden so those buildings will never be moved onto the old map.

I can understand doing that on a server where people trust each other enough to build above ground houses but a good amount of players on this server build underground or in hills and mountains.

it's not a good solution and I hope you understand that.

This server was made by a site that is no officially affiliated with RRU. It is mostly open to people on RRU and the fact that LRR is about mining underground then a few people like the idea of the server being underground.

There are far to many problems with giving the map to EPIC because the server is such a diverse place with so many different player with varying building styles all building so far away from each other.

And who is to say EPIC won't just copy all the houses and stuff that he can find (inadvertently missing a lot of hidden ones) into Icewater and then copy that onto the new map? That wouldn't be fun or entertaining at all. It would just be an obnoxiously large group of buildings that don't fit together.

It is as far from a good idea as you can have for a server like this.

I helped him build the big ass tunnel to Acmex's domain, do you know how long that thing was?

Around 2000 blocks. Thats about 160 or so chunks. More or less.

And yes, I was going to give them back. And they could just tell me how many they had. And yes, they could've abused it to get all of them, but I'm not that sensitive. I can remember all the way back to when I was 3. Every event since my birthday. Even the first time I got a computer. I have a memory like an elephant. I seriously was jsut trying to help. I have decided that I will build RRU city close to the spawn point. I am not planning to build it around the spawn point anymore because I can't build on the spawn point and it is always a big area.

I think Anon should white-list the server when 1.8 comes out and we get a brand new map. The reason the map should be white listed is so only Anon, MSSSSM, and Acmex can get on and build some kind of protection around the spawn point (They can turn off the white-list after their work is done.). I mean when you think about it then this is not a huge server that gets 50+ unique players every day. If the spawn point can be shrunken down to a smaller size then it should be. And I am not talking about that strange 2x2 box that Anon puts on the spawn point that magically makes everyone spawn there.We should be able the build stuff there if that is the case. It should be something more manageable like 10x10 because you can build a pretty good fort in a 10x10 area to keep mobs out (I built a really good 10x10 one on that temp map we had.). I remember 3 maps ago we had a pretty good map. A problem was that the first time I spawned on that map a Creeper walked up to me and blew up. That is a problem because mobs like Creepers, Ghasts, and most likely Endermen can change the spawn point when they interact with it and you can do anything to fix it. I mean it's basically like this: "What's that? A charged Creeper blew up on the spawn point and now you spawned in the whole and can get out? To bad for you because you can't build there.". A good looking map a blown up spawn point does not make. This is why we should do something like this. So people don't log in, get blown up, and then leave because they are angry that they just died a moment after logging in. I will be building what I think the fort should look like in the sand biom next to Shadow's house. Please give your feedback because if we get enough people agreeing on an idea then we might be able to make the server exactly what everyone wants it to be.

Storm, you were banned for stealing people's stuff and griefing. Joe was banned for being a moron and griefing my tree to heck. The worst thing sonic did was create a huge idol to himself for the creepers to worship (I always saw creepers swimming around it).

The worst thing I must have done, was when the server was new, I would always grief and steal from the 322 island before it became the 322 HQ. Lol, I was also buddys with Acmex, and we set up numerous cannons around the island

Oh, then MS decided to come on and join the server he was hosting. He started small, and once we got to the next map, he became a larger figure. I remember I took right to that map and made a gigantic fort in the shape of a mushroom. MS the took the liberty to building a massive reed farm and hollow out my mine. This action enraged me (it also was one of the signs of his instability) so I took off across the water to the nearby snow biome. There, I built a hut and then noticed that Acmex joined me. I fled deeper into the forest, and built a fort...along with MSSSSM, who tree spammed the entire place and set it on fire, only to burn down half of my house. I raged once more, and he decided to leave me alone. I built up my fort, and eventually made a giant castle from the cobble and sand from my beach quarry. There, I made my base, and started a huge subterranean network, connecting everbody's houses.

Near the end of that map, I set to work building a massive structure to the skies. Unfortunately, MS discovered the wonder of bukkit plugins, and installed runecraft. Not knowing the consequences, Doc started griefing the world using the faith rune. The map was in such bad condition after this, that we were forced to get a new map.

As we all piled onto 0, 0 I bit farewell to all my creations, and arrived at a strange alien world with Acmex, Doc, and sonic. We all took off in separate directions, loosing the original spawn entirely. I built myself a pyramid along with a grinder, Acmex built an underground base, and Doc built some kind of weir castle. Sonic was a loner, and stayed with Shadow.

As this map progressed, tension arose on my land, as people began taking my stuff and building stupid houses next to my pyramid. Somebody also decided to build a huge forest over my records of the map (it was a massive room full of signs portraying the history of the server. I never found it.). In a fit of rage, I quickly put up a huge wall around my pyramid and lit it all up with torches. Locked in my walled worled, I abandoned my pyramid and lived in my mines as a hermit. In order to get more materials, I built a mineshaft straight down to my mine, and filled it with hotel rooms. Mouse also took to this server well, and built a railway system, that would become Epic Rail Inc. (whatever it's called) to connect the map and make everything one.

At first I rejected this proposal, as it blocked out the view of the night sky, but I reluctantly fell to love this new railway, as I had a way to trade for materials I needed. With these materials, I built the first ever rocket on the server, along with what I believe to be the first ever Tangent Science building. There, I conducted experiments on explosions and redstone. I also constructed the tower that I used to keep watch over my land, and look for intruders. I also built a vast underground mine on this land, which is where I get most of the materials to build my tower.

Around the completion of the Tangent Tower, I caught wind of a radical new way of living. A city. This city was being built just east of my tower, so I set off to find it. Upon arriving, I found a few scattered buildings and once central citadel, where I set up office as an international trader. There, I also found where Doc and Acmex had an abandoned land that was used for testing. I quickly hopped into a minecart and set off.

As I arrived, I noticed the land was extremely mangled, and bits of water were randomly floating in the air. I came to Acmex's station, and hopped off. In the center of the land was a flat house that was Doc's first house. I came up to it, and found it to be empty. There were signs of explosions everywhere, from creepers I guess. I got back into my cart and left back to home.

I then left minecraft and started playing terraria. Must have missed out on alot (Sonic building an idol and someone giving it a hitler mustache and a pingas). I decided to stop back onto the server and found a new map. I quickly built a little house on a hill behind Sonic's new idol and settled in to the view of his butt. I left minecraft again and went back to terraria. A month later, I came back because of the piston update. I immediatly set to work expanding my mines and building up my house. The first thing I did was build an extension out of the hill. I also needed more materials, so I built a quarry, and accidentally ran through Epic's railway. I kept building and building until most of my land was covered.

Once I had a nice base, I decided to check out the map. As I started to leave, Sonic and Mouse were having an argument about getting a new map for 1.8. Sonic lost, and was banned, so Acmex burned down his idol and partied. I then went to icewater (still in its infancy) by walking, as the railway was still under construction. There, I found nothing interesting, and traveled back home, where I built the first actual science center to carry the name Tangent Science. There I experimented with mob path finding and flooring systems. I successfully developed a "smart room" composed of panels that could be manipulated with redstone.

Around this time, Joe joined, and he decided to build his house on my west door, where he freely went in-and-out to steal my food. I let him go like this for a while, until I died from lack of pork. I told him to stop (which he didn't) and Acmex came online. As I was showing Acmex my smart room, he noticed my trees were on fire. He quickly set them out with //ex, when suddenly, LZ said "why is Shadow's house a crater?". Immediately, Acmex flew over, and my tree caught on fire again. I poured water all over my tree, and it was extinguished. I raced over to Shadows and found half of it nothing but a smoldering crater. As I looked back over, my tree was on fire again, along with my floor.

Acmex, not knowing what to do, ragequit for dinner. I quickly put out the fire, but my tree was ruined. I also found a flint and steel among the wreckage of what became known as "The Griefing of '11". Acmex came back on, and identified the griefer as Joe, and banned him. I replaced the tree with my house and installed the Tangent Science Smart Door, which I designed.

As time progressed, I got bored, and decided to move the Icewater. There, I built the Tangent Science Building and helped with the building of a few projects. I also formed the snow shoppe and the mob shoppe as a way to pretty up the city a little. I also built a few things on the science disk and developed a fully-automatic wheat farm.

The next day I got on, I found a new map, and found my skype PM with MSSSSM full of "LOLOL MORON! YOU HAVE A NEW MAP!". When I arrived, I committed suicide a few hundred times then built a small fort there, thinking that this was the map we would have until 1.8. LZ and RM didn't like this, so they built a massive pingas as a monument to MSSSSM. I didn't like the pingas, so I tore it down. They built it back up, I tore it back down. This went on for a little bit.

I left for a few days to play with SSP mods. I came back, and found the old icewater map back. I finished some stuff, and decided to type this brief history of the server.

Seriously, though. I had to go through the whole thing and place all the f***ing torches. And that was AFTER he made the tunnel. He rewarded me with godmode, and it was ANON that made the tunnel. And if he did have a super pickaxe, he still has to mine everything, then go back and place all the rails. I had to place all the torches for him afterwards because he didn't want to have to go through there again. And after a while of using the super pick, he just world edited the rest out for about, I don't know, about the next 30 chunks?

LZ and RM didn't like this, so they built a massive pingas as a monument to MSSSSM. I didn't like the pingas, so I tore it down. They built it back up, I tore it back down. This went on for a little bit.

I left for a few days to play with SSP mods. I came back, and found the old Icewater map back. I finished some stuff, and decided to type this brief history of the server.

Your god mode had nothing to do with it. (Although giving you perma-god mode was a stupid thing to do.)

You were acting stupid and you stole material from people and then you claimed that you were just making them easier to store and you were going to give them back. Well the problem with that anyone who has that plan will forget how much of something people had and just give them all the same amount and then people will get ticked off.

I helped him build the big ass tunnel to Acmex's domain, do you know how long that thing was?

And yes, I was going to give them back. And they could just tell me how many they had. And yes, they could've abused it to get all of them, but I'm not that sensitive. Seriously, though. I had to go through the whole thing and place all the f***ing torches. And that was AFTER he made the tunnel. He rewarded me with godmode, and it was ANON that made the tunnel. And if he did have a super pickaxe, he still has to mine everything, then go back and place all the rails. I had to place all the torches for him afterwards because he didn't want to have to go through there again. And after a while of using the super pick, he just world edited the rest out for about, I don't know, about the next 30 chunks?

Sonic, stop being a d***. He could've removed my perma god mode if he wanted to, cause imo that would be a good punishment. Why didn't you admins wait for Anon and see what he wanted to do? If he did, then why did he have to be such an ass about it? Was he in a bad mood or something? Plus, knowing your guys you probably banned me while he was gone eating or something for the lulz. I removed it because unlike you I know that a random track across the sky invading people's houses is going to piss more people off than it was going to make people "HAPPY ABOUT HAVING A TRACK". You had no right to make it and you should have asked people before you built it.

You check intothe server to if you were un-banned because one of the Admins think you can solve a problems that none of us can? Or you check on RRU every day even though you have already rage-quit a bunch of times?

Now that that is over.

I know I said I wouldn't build RRU City around the spawn point but if the spawn point can be set to 10x10 then I can build a really good really neat city that isn't very big and has a minecart station built right into it.

If you only count the 9 basic lots then it is only a 38x38 block city that can be built and used when people don't want to go out and build there own house a few dozen chunks away from the spawn point. I can make it and post and image if you want to see the basic system that I will be using for the land.

Sonic, you were actually banned for a few reasons. I'm not going to bring up the past, but if you want me to, I can.

Storm, you were banned for stealing people's stuff and griefing. Joe was banned for being a moron and griefing my tree to heck. The worst thing sonic did was create a huge idol to himself for the creepers to worship (I always saw creepers swimming around it).

The worst thing I must have done, was when the server was new, I would always grief and steal from the 322 island before it became the 322 HQ. Lol, I was also buddys with Acmex, and we set up numerous cannons around the island

Oh, then MS decided to come on and join the server he was hosting. He started small, and once we got to the next map, he became a larger figure. I remember I took right to that map and made a gigantic fort in the shape of a mushroom. MS the took the liberty to building a massive reed farm and hollow out my mine. This action enraged me (it also was one of the signs of his instability) so I took off across the water to the nearby snow biome. There, I built a hut and then noticed that Acmex joined me. I fled deeper into the forest, and built a fort...along with MSSSSM, who tree spammed the entire place and set it on fire, only to burn down half of my house. I raged once more, and he decided to leave me alone. I built up my fort, and eventually made a giant castle from the cobble and sand from my beach quarry. There, I made my base, and started a huge subterranean network, connecting everbody's houses.

Near the end of that map, I set to work building a massive structure to the skies. Unfortunately, MS discovered the wonder of bukkit plugins, and installed runecraft. Not knowing the consequences, Doc started griefing the world using the faith rune. The map was in such bad condition after this, that we were forced to get a new map.

As we all piled onto 0, 0 I bit farewell to all my creations, and arrived at a strange alien world with Acmex, Doc, and sonic. We all took off in separate directions, loosing the original spawn entirely. I built myself a pyramid along with a grinder, Acmex built an underground base, and Doc built some kind of weir castle. Sonic was a loner, and stayed with Shadow.

As this map progressed, tension arose on my land, as people began taking my stuff and building stupid houses next to my pyramid. Somebody also decided to build a huge forest over my records of the map (it was a massive room full of signs portraying the history of the server. I never found it.). In a fit of rage, I quickly put up a huge wall around my pyramid and lit it all up with torches. Locked in my walled worled, I abandoned my pyramid and lived in my mines as a hermit. In order to get more materials, I built a mineshaft straight down to my mine, and filled it with hotel rooms. Mouse also took to this server well, and built a railway system, that would become Epic Rail Inc. (whatever it's called) to connect the map and make everything one.

At first I rejected this proposal, as it blocked out the view of the night sky, but I reluctantly fell to love this new railway, as I had a way to trade for materials I needed. With these materials, I built the first ever rocket on the server, along with what I believe to be the first ever Tangent Science building. There, I conducted experiments on explosions and redstone. I also constructed the tower that I used to keep watch over my land, and look for intruders. I also built a vast underground mine on this land, which is where I get most of the materials to build my tower.

Around the completion of the Tangent Tower, I caught wind of a radical new way of living. A city. This city was being built just east of my tower, so I set off to find it. Upon arriving, I found a few scattered buildings and once central citadel, where I set up office as an international trader. There, I also found where Doc and Acmex had an abandoned land that was used for testing. I quickly hopped into a minecart and set off.

As I arrived, I noticed the land was extremely mangled, and bits of water were randomly floating in the air. I came to Acmex's station, and hopped off. In the center of the land was a flat house that was Doc's first house. I came up to it, and found it to be empty. There were signs of explosions everywhere, from creepers I guess. I got back into my cart and left back to home.

I then left minecraft and started playing terraria. Must have missed out on alot (Sonic building an idol and someone giving it a hitler mustache and a pingas). I decided to stop back onto the server and found a new map. I quickly built a little house on a hill behind Sonic's new idol and settled in to the view of his butt. I left minecraft again and went back to terraria. A month later, I came back because of the piston update. I immediatly set to work expanding my mines and building up my house. The first thing I did was build an extension out of the hill. I also needed more materials, so I built a quarry, and accidentally ran through Epic's railway. I kept building and building until most of my land was covered.

Once I had a nice base, I decided to check out the map. As I started to leave, Sonic and Mouse were having an argument about getting a new map for 1.8. Sonic lost, and was banned, so Acmex burned down his idol and partied. I then went to icewater (still in its infancy) by walking, as the railway was still under construction. There, I found nothing interesting, and traveled back home, where I built the first actual science center to carry the name Tangent Science. There I experimented with mob path finding and flooring systems. I successfully developed a "smart room" composed of panels that could be manipulated with redstone.

Around this time, Joe joined, and he decided to build his house on my west door, where he freely went in-and-out to steal my food. I let him go like this for a while, until I died from lack of pork. I told him to stop (which he didn't) and Acmex came online. As I was showing Acmex my smart room, he noticed my trees were on fire. He quickly set them out with //ex, when suddenly, LZ said "why is Shadow's house a crater?". Immediately, Acmex flew over, and my tree caught on fire again. I poured water all over my tree, and it was extinguished. I raced over to Shadows and found half of it nothing but a smoldering crater. As I looked back over, my tree was on fire again, along with my floor.

Acmex, not knowing what to do, ragequit for dinner. I quickly put out the fire, but my tree was ruined. I also found a flint and steel among the wreckage of what became known as "The Griefing of '11". Acmex came back on, and identified the griefer as Joe, and banned him. I replaced the tree with my house and installed the Tangent Science Smart Door, which I designed.

As time progressed, I got bored, and decided to move the Icewater. There, I built the Tangent Science Building and helped with the building of a few projects. I also formed the snow shoppe and the mob shoppe as a way to pretty up the city a little. I also built a few things on the science disk and developed a fully-automatic wheat farm.

The next day I got on, I found a new map, and found my skype PM with MSSSSM full of "LOLOL MORON! YOU HAVE A NEW MAP!". When I arrived, I committed suicide a few hundred times then built a small fort there, thinking that this was the map we would have until 1.8. But I think for the next map I'm going to build an actual castle, but not any old castle, I mean a real big castle, like 30x30 blocks with giant walls, this would be my greatest creation ever!
