From LEGO we got new BIONICLE and Technic sets (as well as a lot of other themes), and from Mega Bloks, we got Halo, Despicable Me, and Terminator. I did this sketch way back in november-ish when the first trailer for The Force Awakens dropped and nobody could talk about anything else for a week. When I first saw that new floaty landspeeder gliding across the desert the first thing that popped into my head was "Hey, that front bit sorta looks like a toaster on it's side", and so this idea was born. Conlang #6 Zh'u

Just thought i'd pop in and share what i've been working on. I've pretty much refined my language making method with my latest Conlang: Zh'u. It's much simpler than Thu'll and the character designs where loosely based off the Arabic script. I've also gotten started on making a dictionary for this language so that it can actually be spoken. The dictionary is about .1% complete, i'll post it when it's finished.

My new bedsheet (it will all make sense later)

I bet you are all wondering "Why is a new bedsheet worthy of a blog on RRU?" I'll show you why. It started when I got my thieving little hands on a Rock Raiders promotional poster via TradeMe (the NZ equivalent of eBay). It lay unused for... six months? until my mother had the brilliant idea to make it into a bedsheet with her own two hands (and the sowing machine). And voila!
