List of (probably) every L.M.S. Explorer MOC on the internet

Update (2015-07-31): I checked the blog entry again and it turns out, that some links work and some don't (which proves, that some stuff stays around forever while other things aren't even available after like two years). I will mark the links (with a big X or something else), that don't work anymore and try to find replacements, although I doubt in some cases, that those exist (like the lego universe links, but luckily I saved the files in those cases). Another question: Should I make an actual

RRU Anniversary Blog Party!

I have been here to see 2 RRU Anniversaries now (unofficially being at the 4th) and now the 5th Anniversary. Good times, good memories, and good friends. Please feel free to use this blog to post your favorite moments from the many Anniversaries RRU has had. My favorite moment was when our "most online" count went to 282 last year, the highest ever so far. I also enjoyed hanging out and meeting new friends.

And you think LEGO Friends is bad?

Then what I've got to show you makes even LEGO Friends look sophisticated! WARNING! THIS BLOG POST MAY HAVE SIDE-EFFECTS ON THE READER, SUCH AS EMBARRASSMENT, RAGE, LIFE-LONG SCARS, OR ACTIONS YOU MAY REGRET LATER ON. You have been warned. 2 days ago, rioforce was trying to find a set number so he could try to build a set that is in the big collection of bricks he bought the other month. He found it, but also found a brick that had the same number as the set. Nothing unusual, it hap

Database errors won't stop me

I'll be gone for a few weeks as of tomorrow and since the database errors still roam the streets of RRU I'll use my blog for this instance. So here is the Robotic Pack for LEGO Racers, containing minifig/droid textures of mid '90s Space factions. To be exact it includes Spyrius, Unitron, Exploriens(!) and Roboforce textures. The latter two haven't seen daylight yet, the former two were posted as images in the (now inaccessible obviously) LR minifig Space textures topic. I'll add this link t

Composing My YouTube Channel

Today I launched my first YouTube video! I was planning a different video, but then I scrapped it and went to this one. Here is the link if anyone wishes to watch it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ff18dkCY3rE&feature=youtube_gdata_player My channel as JAL The Composer will mostly reflect music that I have created, but with small LP's on the side, for added entertainment. Let me know what you guys think of it! EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention this. If you guys could he

Legend of the Database Error

We all know of the current issue with the database error, but I'm going to make a story out of it. A story that your grand children's grand children will still be talking about. Here goes. A long time ago, in the year 2013, on an old forum that was known as Rock Raiders United thrived with members of all around Earth. These members loved RRU a lot. It was a place to hang out, look for mods for things called LEGO games, and sometimes even arguments arose on whether one should choose the g

My First Blog Post Only Exists Because the Forum Exploded

And it's not even a real blog post! I need to know how to run Rock Raiders in windowed mode, but all the threads are cut! (Thank you, McStudz) I suppose I could have messaged somebody, but I wouldn't have known who to ask. And what's the fun in that? (I might start making actual semi-regular posts sometime though, I don't know)

WTF is this bullcrap?

So recently I was in the toy isle of a local store looking for some cheap Transformers toys (oddly enough I did not find any. The entire store contained not a single transformer. Odd. Though I did find a LEGO set the resembles Optimus Prime). While I did not find what I was there for, I did run into a bunch of toys that were just blew me away (in a bad way.) Let's start with the bird-pocalypse, shall we? I hate angry birds. Despise it. So It appalled me how many toys there w

As I am working on the vehicles and buildings are there any of ether you think should be left out of

Renard has struck my dreams again

Well, here we go again. Another "furry" dream. This time, it was a flash style render. It was part of a music video made by Renard, the final cut scene. It started with three normal looking friends, two male, one female, all around 25, on a couch watching TV. It then jumped to one of the males standing in front of the other two (still seated) and stating "I'm a wolf" and then changing into a brown werewolf. Only the furry's legs were shown in this part, likely to keep it fa

A little notification for future blogs

Well, I am back with a new motto; "Aye up! Heads up!" (Meaning 'keep a look out for strange things in the near future). Anyway, I have just received a physical PC/Mac edition of Valve's highly astounding (to me) Portal 2, a physics game originally used to show the usage of portals. I had a look over YouTube to see if anyone had made any reviews of Portal 2 and I found out about Zero Punctuation at the time. I watched Zero Punctuation's review on Portal 2, expecting it to be all about Portal 2,

My MISB collection

I have posted in this topic before, showing part of my LEGO collection. Since then, my collection has grown. Now I take a break from buying vintage LEGO sets and sell some. I can't just constantly buy sets without making money. And for your information, I have a job to finance my hobby too (and save up for university later). But some bricks of my collection have never seen daylight in years/decades. They are known as the MISB sets. I 'inherited' some MISB sets from my dad and some which I coll

Wot I Fink: Stories in Gaming

One of the biggest problems I come across in gaming is story. It's a tricky element to get right, and people are both going to want it or going to hate it. The biggest problem is that if you go for a story, you either have to keep it basic as a way to establish why the player is in the game in first place (I call this the "Call to Suspension" trick), or it becomes a core part of the game (I'd call this an "Experience", as you would have noted in a previous Wot I Fink). There's going to be a

My 1-Year Anniversary!

Dear Family, Today is my 1 year anniversary. I have been with the amazing RRU Community for 1 full year. Scratch that. I have been with the amazing RRU Family for 1 full year. (Now, before some of you question this forum being a family, remember that this is my own opinion of RRU.) I can't believe the things I learned since I joined in 2012. The people I've met. The friends I've made. I believe that is where this comes in. "This has to be the most beautiful, the most peaceful pl

E3 2013: Microsoft Press Conference

Instead of the initial 15 promised titles, we were told there would be 13 Next-Gen exclusive titles. Right out of the gate was Konami. They launched the conference with "Metal Gear Solid V - The Phantom Pain". Interesting, they showed off their "Fox Engine", which boasted features such as: Open-World Stealth Real-Time Weather Transport "Tactical Espionage" Redefined Strategic Freedom Realistic Passage of Time Deeper stealth action Dynamic "CQC" (Unknown what CQC is

I heard some of this when i was waking up and then fleshed it out.

I heard part of this during the transition between sleeping dream and reality, the rest I came up with immediately afterwards. The "heard" part is in curly brackets. See if you can figure out the story. Keep in mind the group I hang out with outside of RRU. V1 (spoken) {There's a reason I no longer (originally, "no longer" was "never liked," but looking over the rest of it suggests that going back may make the whole thing make sense) going out with you} There is a reason {we never got

Call me a neo technophobe but. . .

I really do not like the way things are going with the most commonly used technologies. I mean seriously, they are causing me all sorts of head aches. The new handhelds are crap at getting really odd shots. Ones that require you to lean out of something dangerously (my brother knows what I am talking about) or bend over awkwardly are ones I am talking about. I don't really have that problem. I have a Samsung U900 Flipshot. It, as the name implies, it is a flip phone. Like many such handhe

Wot I Fink: Copying

*sigh* Peer pressure. I'm going to be honest. A certain part of me has been both laughing and cringing at the recent influx of members who have taken to the blogs to express their feelings after certain events transpired (and a lot of me didn't want to acknowledge it with a Wot I Fink). However, it has been interesting to see everybody's thoughts laid out before I get to writing a Wot I Fink on the subject, and because of that, it's given me a lot more things to consider and talk about. Falling brick name

I don't want to fall into the habit of constantly posting everything I make in a new thread like certain other members do, so here's a blog post. The last couple of videos I've made have been more thread-worthy, I think, because other people might actually want to use them. I don't think anyone else would want to use this one, although I guess my LEGO username is pretty unoriginal. Whatever. Here it is: It's basically just an animated version of my sig. It's made up from 15 LDD rende

The Man From Rumble

There once was a man from Rumble, Who always liked to grumble. Once day, the man tripped, and made such a Flumble. "Grumble!" The man mumbled, "That Flumble made me tumble!" Oh, hi Flumble! _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I came up with this poem in the SBox a few minutes ago, and I wanted to give it a more permanent home. Feel free to not comment on this. ;
